My husband and I stayed here two years ago after it was recommended to us by our friends who raved about it. We followed their recommendation and absolutely loved it. We got a massive room, the staff were warm and friendly, the service was impeccable, the breakfast was delicious and offered a fantastic selection of food. The attention to detail was superb and the extras such as mango shots & cold cloths handed out poolside and the cakes left in our room each afternoon,it truly was a 5 star experience.
Therfore, when we got engaged, it was no question where we would go for our honeymoon. We were however, very disappointed. My husband had mentioned on booking that this was going to be our honeymoon. I appreciate that there is no onus on the hotel to provide special service just because we were newly weds but there was no acknowledgement whatsoever that this was going to be a special stay for us. We stayed in a room that was completely average and small, it was very underwhelming. It was barely worthy of 4 stars. All the aspects that I mentioned earlier that had made our first stay such a remarkable and memorable experience were now lacking. All the little extras were gone. The breakfast was also reduced and didn't have the same selection and hot counter options. Overall our honeymoon experience was pleasant but very average and definitely not worthy of 5 stars. We were dying to return to stay in this hotel again but after returning for our honeymoon and being disappointed, we won't be making any future reservations here.

The hotel is very nice. Attitude from staff side is very attentive. It was celebration of my husband birthday and we had room upgrade and also bottle of champagne and chokolate cake. Breakfast is very good a lot of variety -cheese, prosciutto, jogurts, fish, omelettes , different kinds of vegetables and fruits. They are serving coffe, capucino, tea under your request. Personal at breakfasr is very polite. Staff at reception is super - especially Sofia. Hotel has very nice terraces, where you can enjoy of nice views. There are also nice views from rooms which are looking to ocean - really amazing. We visited water centre, where enjoyed in swimming pools with different kinds of water massages , relaxed in salt lake and have been in turkish bath and sauna.
It is very clean everywhere . Room service is very good - was made twice per day. Bed is comfy, pillows also. I would like to express our grateful to all employers of hotel for their outstanding job. I can highly recommend it to everyone. Definetely will be back!

Room tip: Room with ocean view are amazing but more expensive. However it worth to do.

We had a 5 night stay in this large and beautiful hotel in the delightful town of Cascais, Portugal. We were so happy with our choice to holiday in this idyllic place. We could walk into town around the beach, past many little cafes serving local seafood, breakfast and coffee. The town itself is so picturesque and we wandered every evening to choose a place to eat.
The hotel is very smart, with a beautiful lobby, lovely artwork and a gorgeous infinity pool overlooking the ocean. The breakfast room overlooks the pool area and every morning the sunrise over the pool was a spectacular sight.
We initially were placed in a room at the rear of the hotel and were so disappointed. In the end we decided (at quite a high price) to upgrade to an ocean view so that we could truly appreciate our surroundings. It was clean and spacious with a pink marble bathroom and large balcony. The balcony area wasn’t very private but the views were lovely.
We had our 36th wedding anniversary whilst we were there and celebrated with a day trip to Sintra. On the advice of staff at the concierge we took a cab right up to the Pena Palace early in the morning, which proved to be a great decision. What a fabulous place! So stunning and not to be missed. We decided against dining at the hotel as the prices are quite steep and we preferred dining in the atmospheric main square of Cascais.
We had a wonderful week, helped by the comfort and lovely location of the Miragem.

Beautiful reception area and through out the hotel. Lovely artwork and leisure area Everything immaculate. Hardworking staff but a bit business like. Staff tend to take plates too early from breakfast table when it appears one has finished eating.

Really need a coffee machine in main breakfast area with hot water option. This would cut out the necessary for someone to keep going around asking one if they wanted coffee.Could be doing with a cook everyday to cook omlettes fried eggs etc as breakfast got a bot boring. For a five star hotel bacon and sausages could be better quality. All other breatfast items very nice.

Had a deluxe bedroom which had a standard double bed which was extremely hard. Got a mattress topper and had to put a blanket under that which helped. The views over the ocean were fantastic. Rooms although nice were a bit dated.

The spa was fantastic . Turkish bath jacuzzi etc One of the the hotels best features.

Was left a cake for my birthday and champagne which was very nice to receive. Thank you Miragem

Cascais is a beautiful town would return to Miragem if the beds and cooked breakfast were different.
