Hotel is across the road from the beach. There is a 15 min walk to access the beach . Leaving the the hotel, go to the right past the next building, there is a set of stairs that lead to a tunnel under the highway. If you take that route, it goes closer to the water and is a shorter route to the town. The town has several restaurants and shops. We took an uber to Sintra for about 14 euros. Hotel is very nice, although the linens could be upgraded. Linens are definitely not 5 stars. There was a menu for pillows , however we were never offered any, so we just used the ones for decoration on the bed. The thin spread covers an old blanket with satin trim, not the duvet we were expecting. Bath is nice size with nice amenities. The housekeeper was in our room cleaning when we returned at 4, so we had to leave again. Since we were late getting back in our room, we never experienced the turn down service. Breakfast buffet was nice, but the 25 euro charge was too high for breakfast. We did have room service and the food was good. Ask for a high floor or the "sea view" is a pool view, with just a peek of the sea over the pool. Hotel front desk staff was nice, although we didn't have any other interaction with them. There is a Jumbo store for snacks in town, however there is nothing close to the hotel,so if you don't want to pay 4 euros for a coke in the mini Bar, stop by on the walk back to get snacks and drinks.
