We dropped by for a short break late Sunday afternoon. There were some tables indoor. Ordered tarts, cappuccino and hot chocolate. The tarts were good but after several mouthful, they got too sweet for me. Hot chocolate was good with little pieces of chocolate floating inside. Nice café in town.

This tea house is small and located one of the most beautiful buildings in a narrow street...pop inside and you returned in 1930's.
Here you find local specialities...very tasteful ones and not too expensive.

This place is very popular among local people.

Nowadays there are trendy new desserts on most menus in Portugal, but in A Casa da Isabel, you can delight in the traditional cakes from yesteryear. Many based on almond. My personal favorite is a little walnut-coconut cake.

Feels like a fairly authentic little cafe. Lots of cakes and pastries to choose from. Can recommend the Trilogia Algarvia tart - very nice.
