The house is exactly as advertised, 10-15 minute walk to Mos Beach, one of the many beautiful beaches just west of Lagos. It is a 3-5 minute drive to the bars and restaurants of old Lagos. The house is clean as a can be; it looks and feels brand new, and the pool and outside areas are lovely with beautiful fruit trees throughout. Casa Sousa provides a great respite from the hustle of downtown Lagos, and the pool a quiet, private alternative to the beach. The wireless worked flawlessly, as did all of the appliances we utilized, though we never had occasion to turn on the TV. Ilda, the owner who stays in a downstairs apartment when the house is rented, left us a large plate of cookies and bottle of wine. She is nice as can be and speaks excellent English. Our only reservation is that, and this may be cultural rather than a flaw, the house comes with nothing disposable-- no sponges, no dish soap, no hand soap, half rolls of toilet paper, no salt or pepper, so everything must be purchased. To becomplete, I should mention the neighbor's rooster that crows early in the morning and another neighbor's dog that barks quite a bit.
