“Perfect 10”
Reviewed 28 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Before our trip Karl emailed helpful tips on car rental and nearby supermarkets alongside excellent instructions to find 'the nest'. On evening arrival we found thoughtful essentials provided in the kitchen and bathroom including a tasty selection of items in the fridge. 'The nest' was spotless and is definitely on the quaint side on first encounter. It sits high up on a hillside allowing a great outlook of the Faro area. Karl and Daph are available on site as their house is next door and offered great advice on things to do, places to see and local restaurants. They are also naturally tactful and our privacy was also respected. Walking or jogging is a pleasure in the neighbouring countryside using 'the nest' as a starting point with breathtaking views on offer from the top of the rise. In short we had a ball and will be back. Obrigado Karl and Daph!

Karl and Daphne definitely deserve the great reviews they have had so far. They are exceptionally accommodating and the location of the nest is great too. The surrounding area is fairly quiet and remote but also close enough for shops and restaurants... I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs a nice relaxing break :) Thanks Karl and Daph!

“Perfect hideaway yet close enough to places we wanted to go”

We're just home from a really enjoyable week in Ninho do Amor. The little house itself was perfect for us as a couple and every detail has been thought of. It's up a mountain lane and well off the beaten track, yet only a few minutes from the lovely village of Estoi and only 20 minutes from Faro airport. We used it as a comfortable base to explore as far as Tavira and beyond to the east, and Sagres and the coast to the west. Karl and Daph are warm and generous hosts and are very approachable and helpful without being in any way imposing. Just about perfect!

“BRILLIANT PLACE AND HOSTS”
Reviewed 7 August 2014 for a stay in May 2014

It's taken me a shamefully long to write this review because the holiday was amazing and I should have written it sooner. Our time at the Love Nest was made so special because Karl and Daphne were the most considerate, thoughtful hosts i've ever encountered. They had thought of EVERYTHING (including a very generous welcome pack, wine and beer is always appreciated!) and if we required anything else they bent over backwards to provide.
The love nest is small but has everything two people need and we had a great time playing boules, bbqing and eating at local restaurants.
It's really close to the airport which is fantastic and it's a lovely place to explore.
The only thing i would say wasn't exactly to my liking was that the pool was quite cold, but we still got in and refreshed ourselves most days.
Great place to say, DO IT.

“Fantastic, Friendly, Welcoming”
Reviewed 9 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We wanted a very relaxing, quiet holiday, laying on the lilo on top of the pool and that is exactly what we got. Karl & Daphne are very hospitable from having to meet us at the airport as by the time we got our car it was dark, to inviting us for drinks, lunch and then more drinks. Everything we needed was available including parking the car in the shade. Very comfortable apartment, the pictures of the inside don't do it justice as there is new furniture and a large screen TV with English TV so my partner was happy as he was able to watch the world cup football. Great setting up in the hills with wonderful views and easy to drive around to local villages and towns and into Faro or Olhao. A car is definitely needed. Great stay and we will be hoping to return.
