We were a party of four adults and one two year old. We stayed in a private villa at the resort and were very impressed. The resort felt more like a private estate than a holiday resort. The villas are located in quiet roads away from the reception, pool and restaurant. Ours, Villa Carvoeiro, was just a few minutes walk to the pools and 'reception. It had a private garden that was beautifully maintained with shrubs and trees, a difference with sea views and was very well equipped. We visited the resort pool area which was clean and well maintained, had a good range of sunbeds and parasols and tables and chairs. We always found sunbeds when we visited the pool at around 1500 each day. The Italian restaurant on site is,excellent and welcoming and reasonably priced. The on site minimarket had a good stock of basic holiday needs and prices, were only slightly more than in town. The resort is a fifteen minute stroll into Carvoeiro and the beach. Downhill going but of course up hill coming back for half the journey..it is very steep. Carvoeiro itself consists of three roads all much the same with lots of tourist shops and restaurants.. There, are a few traditional Portuguese restaurants located away from the beach. Two small mini markets are well stocked and there is also a fresh fish, vegetable and butchers at the Mercado located by the bus stop. Quinto do Paraiso is an excellent resort for a relaxing holiday.

Room Tip: Villas are set around the resort..try to get one close to the main 're emotion area if you want to use the pool and facilities

Second year stayed here, we stayed in a one bed apartment at the top end as we did last year. Top end is very quiet and the pool is lovely clean and fresh. Our apartment was adequately spaced with a large bathroom and kitchen. Only negatives was the bed was very creaky and hard and the pillows need updating as they are not nice no comfy. The towels and sheets need to be changed more than once a week perhaps every 3 days would be better. The last 4 days we upgraded to a villa
Which was amazing. This was located by the main reception, we then used the other pools the main ones. We were very disappointed in the pool at the top, it was dirty and the water was not clear like the pool by the apartments. It was a horrible green colour. The other main pool was slightly better but not clean and sparkly. These pools need a clean ASAP. Other than that staff always very helpful and polite, especially conni on reception. We love it here and will more than likely book a private villa with a pool next year. The restaurant up the hill called Escondido is fabulous, 5 courses for just 11 euros. The Italian at the Quinta also very good and reasonable. Fab pizzas

We recently travelled again to the Quinta do Paraiso and found it to have been recently renovated but still seemed to keep the same friendly atomosphere. Staff are brilliant as always and the new look bar area certainly adds to the large pool area, now its nice for day and evening. Prices are reasonable, excellent holiday for all especially families.

We lived nearby, but didn't have a pool - so it was great to have the opportunity to use this pool area. We paid 10 euro pr adult, then we could use the sunbeds and the pools.

This is not a crowded place, we got sunbeds by the pool without problems.
There are 3 pools, our kids (7, 10, 11 years) had a great time! :)

We ate lunch in the bar for reasonable prices.

We will be back!

Quinta do paraiso is a beautiful family resort, has many different apartments and villas, suitable for all budgets and tastes. All the staff are very friendly, there is a mini market on site, a lovely Italian restaurant and five swimming pools suitable for young children and adults alike, but no life guard. It's a 15-20 minute walk into town with a fairly steep hill on the return or 5/6 euros in a taxi if you prefer. They do have a shuttle bus going to and from Carvoeiro town a few times a day, where there are numerous bars and restaurants.
There are a few beautiful clean beaches between 1-3 km away and a diving school opposite the resorts reception. If you prefer to cook yourself there are two large supermarkets just outside town 7/8 euros in taxi with everything you could want, or smaller ones in Carvoerio town. I've stayed 4 times in 14 months and will go again soon. Much prefer the resort to a hotel .
