Firstly, be aware that the owners of the property live in the top floor of the villa. We were there for a family holiday and upon arrival we were made to feel at home by the owners. They even make their own wine at the villa and gave us a bottle to try and it was great!
The pool itself is great and the kids had a wonderful time. The area around the pool is plentiful with lots of space to relax on the sun loungers. The pool is large with a good depth to it and the shallow end with the steps is good for the little children who cannot swim yet, however you have to keep a constant eye on them as the pool has a very steep slope that gets the pool deep very quickly.
The villa itself has air-con in all the bedrooms, but none in the main living area. The villa has all the basics you will need giving it that rustic feel. My only criticisms of the villa were the shower which was incredibly small and the occasional noise of the two barking dogs upstairs, but this in no way spoilt the holiday in any way.
The location of the villa was very good. You obviously need a car to get anywhere, but it's a two minutes in the car to Armacao de Pera where there is a lovely beach resort. It's 10 Minutes to Zoomarine and about 10 more in the other direction to a Water Slide Park. Albuferia and Villamoura are only a 15 minute drive away, so this place is handy for everything.
In summary, if you are looking for a rustic villa, a relaxing holiday with a great pool and in a good location then I'd recommend you book this place. I would definitely return to the villa if I was returning to this area of Portugal.
The location is amazing , the beach and supermarket is just down the road , the villa is brilliant has everything you need for a family. The owners are lovely and very helpful, the pool and garden is gorgeous. Would definitely visit again!
