Description: As a family run business, Wander Inn is a beautifully quaint modern British restaurant situated just off the main strip in Albufeira. We take pride in our food and believe in fresh and quality ingredients but at reasonable prices. Our service is professional and friendly and it important to us to get to know our customers so we can provide a more personal service. Try our signature dish, the steak pie, with slow cooked pieces of tender beef in a homemade pastry, you will not be dissapointed.

The savings grace for this place was that the food was very reasonably priced but would prefer much more quality.

We had to sit in side due to no available outside space which we did not mind at first due to the large amount of smokers outside smoking while others eating! However, inside was very hot with a terrible smell of old cooking fat coming from the kitchen.

Drinks order was taken but before we had finished he ran of to serve another table with out checking we had finished ordering, this happened again when I visited the bar later. The drinks arrived the beer was the worst I had tasted in Portugal both my wife and myself could not drink it and we did not get the water we ordered.

Ordered sharing starter that was deep fried to death and the pies for the main were dry and unappealing and tasted like they had be ready hearted in a microwave.
My kids had the ribs which they quite enjoyed.

Not sure if we stumbled on a off night but will not be returning to find out I am afraid.

Took us ages to find the place. It is off track. If you go on the strip and turn to go to urban pizza you will see the awesome shop (that’s what it’s called) walk past urban pizza and walk up the street and it’s nkt far up on your left hand side.

Staff all smiley and friendly. Ordered the pie and it was delish really tasty and tender. Homemade chips was a hit with hubby. He ordered a burger which he really enjoyed. Daughter wanted chicken dippers which were a starter but they was happy to bring it out as a main with chips.

Lovely little spot sheltered. Fab music good atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit.

Ah . . . the Wander Inn Pub.

We had read about the great reviews of the Wander Inn Pub prior to our visit to Albufeira in April 2018 and paid a visit then. The reviews we read mentioned the home made Steak Pie and the photos on TripAdvisor confirmed this was a must visit. Unfortunately we had, had a full breakfast and maybe a treat (ice cream) prior to our visit, so we were fairly full when we arrived. We ordered the home made steak pie, vegetables with chips, and we would not be disappointed, it was nothing short of delicious, plentiful, and piping hot. Despite being fairly full when we arrived, we left our plates clean, it was made to perfection and not to forget the excellent service we received. The lady owner (apologies, can't remember name) took time to speak with us whilst her husband (chef) was in the kitchen making the meals.

Next visit to Albufeira, July 2018 and we made this a definite stopping place for lunch only this time we were better prepared, we had saved ourselves and we would not be disappointed. Initially my partner was going to have the home made Chicken, Leek, and Mushroom Pie, however; we both ended up ordering the home made Steak Pie.

The generous portions of Steak Pie were 'filled' with delicious steak top to bottom, the vegetables were cooked to perfection and the chips contained very little fat, add to that the flavoursome gravy poured over the pie and vegetables and there you have it, heaven on a plate . . . a real traditional British meal in Portugal!

We have photographed the menu to show you what types of meals are available, also drinks, and their cost, however; what is not shown on the menu are the sweets, these are written on the blackboard. During our meal our eyes were being drawn to the blackboard . . . 'Strawberry Cheesecake'? Cauliflower and broccoli or . . . cheesecake?

We ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake! It was beautifully presented and tasted absolutely gorgeous and delicate. When we were eating it we came across fine strains of strawberries within the cheese itself, this was indeed 'real' home made cheesecake, no flavouring here. We have had cheesecake in Portugal before, however; on those occasions it was a thin sponge for the base. This was made with the traditional crushed biscuits, just how a cheesecake should be made!

Where's the photo? We forgot and when we had eaten it was too late!

Our return visit to the Wander Inn Pub was very much worth it . . . delicious food, impeccable service, and very reasonably priced. The lady manager again took time to speak with us and when we asked where her husband was . . . he was making pastry. Real home made food!

We 'will' visit the Wander Inn on our next visit to Albufeira and we would recommend you do too.

Thank you.

We visited The Wander Inn three times over our visit to Albufeira, and we were never disappointed. Their ‘2 for €14.95’ menu is a fantastic deal, huge portion sizes and every meal cooked to perfection. Our daughters ordered the ‘sides’ of chicken goujons and chips - the portions were so large that the second night we ordered just one of each! Highly recommend the steak pie and the BBQ pulled pork burger, delicious! If you are looking for hearty, home cooking then this is the place to visit. Very friendly staff too, particularly the gentleman who helped clean up for us when our daughter dropped her glass. A must visit!

A group of 5 went to the Wander Inn whilst the weather was bad in Portugal. However, the food and hospitality given by the owners was the complete opposite. Personally, I had a gammon steak which was delightful but the homemade chips, gravy and cottage pie I was told was also excellent. We would 100% recommend if you’re in the area- a genuine lovely pub.
