We spent five days at Villa Pinecliffs for a family vacation. There were 11 of us with ages ranging from 10-73 years. We really enjoyed our stay. The villa was spacious and could comfortably accommodate all of us. It has a great location with the fabulous Falesia Beach (easy access through the Starwood Hotel next door), good restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The villa also had a nice sitting area by the swimming pool and a separate corner for the pool table.
The only reason that I wouldn't give an excellent rating is that some the gadgets and equipment in the villa were not upto the mark. For example, one of the air-conditioners didn't cool, the toaster didn't heat evenly, the water supply stopped for 2-3 hours on one of the days, etc.
We stayed for a long weekend beginning of May, 13 ladies on a hen do.
Villa is of a nice, modern standard, it was a good size, easily able to accommodate all of us, with each room being quite spacious. There are only 6 rooms but the management team had fold out beds available so we didn't need to use the sofa as the extra beds.
Pool and pool area is lovely with enough loungers for all, also enough space to sit under cover if does rain!
Only negative we had was a couple of the rooms were very cold, extra blankets were provided but the temperature was still a bit uncomfortable (this may not be a problem later in the summer)
Supermarkets, shops, bars and restaurants all within a short (5 minute) walk which was very convenient.
We used the villa management team for transfers which were reliable and efficient.
We recently visited Portugal for my friends hen do and stayed at villa pinecliffes and it did not disappoint. The staff were great from beginning of booking to end, great location (10 min taxi to Vilamoura harbour which is lovely) and the villa was everything we needed. The pool and outside area was beautiful. The only criticisms I have is that the rooms are a bit dated and it could do with a 'freshen up' and the beds were not that comfortable, however for 14 girls the space was perfect and Jim and Miguel were very helpful and provided everything we asked for. We visited in May and were very lucky with the weather but we did pay the extra to have the pool heated which I would highly recommend as this made it like a bath. For taxis you can ask Miguel to arrange these for you at a reasonable price as there wasn't a local taxi rank that we could find. Brothers bar down the end of the road is great for a few drinks as they are very friendly and there is supermarket that has all the essentials next door to the bar. Good place to eat in vilamoura is 'the news' restaurant and they could not do enough for us, reasonably priced and delicious food. We had a great time and will definitely be visiting again in the future.
