On our way to Porto we stayed at this hotel for one night. When we arrived there was a baptism in full swing and the hotel was very busy. We were directed to the underground car park and then shown to our room which was more than adequate with an efficient air con unit which was a life saver in view of the fact that it was in the middle of August.
The room was traditionally and simply furnished with a generously sized bathroom complete with all the usual toiletries. The hotel has a lovely restaurant with an outside terrace but because of the function we were unfortuately able to take advantage of it.
The owner however made up for it by ensuring that we were well taken care of at supper time. She dressed one of the tables outside of the hotel in the cool and assigned a young waiter to look after us all evening. Together they ensured we had a very enjoyable meal and evening, recommending an excellent wine of the region. The next morning we were able to enjoy breakfast in the restaurant area and outside terrace and this was very well presented. All in all thank you Hotel Acez for a brief but very pleasant stay and we will definitely be back in the future. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Rooms furthest away from restaurant are quieter

Even though it's located next to the (tiny) railway station, I never heard a train. The building is of historical value and has been renovated in a modern style. One of the sisters who own the property -a very elegant lady- was the decorator. It's truly a gem, and the restaurant is excellent.

I had to get off the train to Evora to make a presentation to clients, rushed into the hotel to book a room with internet, and found a very sweet place to stay. Quiet, clean, well appointed, and just an overall wonderful experience in this remote location.

This hotel is a quiet family run hotel. Very friendly staff. Rooms being reovated one at a time. Ideal for working at nearby Industrial estate. Euro breakfast. Evening meal if required in restaurant. Quiet bar.

Nearby there are 2 restaurants and two bars. Laundrette and supermarkets .

Room Tip: Top floor is best.

The weekend spent at the Albergaria Acez was supposed to be just a training one, but I was amazed about the elegance of the all place, starting from the hall, the bedrooms, the bathrooms, the restaurant. The staff was very kind and always ready to help.
The place is very quite and I thought it was perfect to do a getaway weekend.
The small town is not that special, but this hotel is very nice.
