we read the review and were game, but things are really tough to find in Evora. this restaurant is clearly family run and we had an outstanding experience once we got there. they are fair, most under-priced for the fare, and we would go again--given the chance!! i had lamb chops that would have been at least $35 more, outside of Evora. i paid $12.50. it was the best quality of food. the theme that is emerging for food in Portugal (outside of the large cities) is that 20Euro per person is really average, including 10% gratuity and the meal. the house wine is the best deal for 9.5Euro and it is absolutely acceptable. it may take a little perseverance to find this place, (look for signs on the street down at knee level) fight through it and get there...you will be glad that you did. they open at 7pm.
