We've just spent 3 nights here. Apart from Tiago, the very pleasant young man who helped with our luggage and car- parking, the Staff all appeared joyless, almost as if they were scared to make a wrong move. There is obviously some systemic problem here. We are talking Hospitality--go to the definition!!!! Management needs to travel south to the Pousada Convento de Graca in Tavira and experience first-hand just how to Welcome and treat Guests. Furthermore, what's all the hype over a coffee machine in the hallway??? 5-Star Hotels provide Tea/Coffee making in the rooms! Bathroom very poorly designed.
OK now I've got all that out!! Location is good, food was very good - both breakfasts and dinner and the deck off the room very enjoyable and especially handy for drying clothes overnight.

We stayed in this hotel for one night, two couples with one child each. The location is great, walking distance from the city hall. We can see by detailed that this hotel is not a coincidence, from the coffee machines in the hall to all the detailed in the rooms. The arrival was good and the people very nice. The breakfast is great with all the most common things and also several local products. I've ordered an espresso and it was really good quality coffee, this doesn't happen in every hotel (I know it by experience). I can only say good things about it. The only issue was parking the car because the garage was already full but we could easily find a parking place around the hotel and they helped us bringing the luggage from the car, so it was fine. The swimming pool is great and relaxing and I never had the feeling that the hotel was crowded which is always great. I'll definitely will choose this place if I need to pick a place in Evora and give a strong recommendation for other visitors.

This hotel exceeded our expectations even though they were really high to begin with. Everything with this hotel was five stars; facilities, rooms, service, breakfast,...

Location is just inside of the city walls, and everything within the walls are just 5-10 minutes from the center (a couple of more minutes to some sights) with the aqueduct as a nice backdrop.

Rooms were spacious with bathrooms that felt really luxurious. Ceiling height was probably >4 meters since it is an old building that has been completely refurbished. Facilities in general were truly great with a really nice pool area and adjacent bar/terrace and garden. Very photogenique!

Service was also very good (i.e. attentive, proactive and efficient) in all areas of the hotel. The guest was always in focus.

Breakfast was of a high standard with a good selection of food and high quality components. Also dinner was great.

We honestly felt that we wanted to stay in Evora a couple of more days just to stay at the hotel and that is a very good rating...

The five stars are totally justified. Excellent service that makes you live an amazing experience. Rooms are highly comfortable and more than clean. Perfect design, good taste, modern touch but respecting the Evora historical atmosphere. Very close to city center (5 min walk) and easy access by car (+ free parking). Wonderful views on the Evora old aqueduct from the terrasse. No doubt that we will be back!

Room Tip: Room 130 has a direct access to the pool

Our first impression was the efficient and welcoming check in , nothing was too much trouble. the staff went to a lot of trouble to inform us about the area. A young man whose name begins with T on reception, and I apologise I was unable to pronounce his name was always extremely helpful and practical, nothing was too much trouble , he was friendly and very professional clearly an asset to the hotel.
The room was excellent , so clean and so spacious with our own out door area. The pool are was of the same high standard .
Breakfast was excellent, so much choice, the coffee not my style, however there was a coffee machine in the hallway that delivered a much superior tasting Coffee, so I was not deprived.
This was a great experience and look forward to returning in the future, as of all the hotels we have stayed in over the last 6 weeks and during previous travels this stands head and shoulders above the others and up there with our other favourite, keep doing what you are doing so well.

Room Tip: Ground floor have the outdoor areas which we particularly enjoyed.
