Socially inadequate and inhospitable owner hardly looked up when we arrived, failed to acknowledge, let alone apologise for the fact that our daughter got bitten by his dog, and remained stubbornly unhelpful throughout our stay. Food was bland and much like the entire experience, unimaginative.

We stayed in the family room for 4 people with 2 bathrooms. All the details were very fine in the room: towels, beds, cleaning. The farm is a nice little one with some animals; the kids will enjoy talking to some sheep and horses. Breakfast is fine, not a lot of choice but good quality for them. The bikes that you can rent for traveling around are of good quality. For eating in the evening there are some nice places on the main road that is close by.

Room Tip: Take the family room - it is huge.

This B and B was picked because it had a family room so that we could all stay together 2 adults and 2 children 3 and 7. We went to see the spring classics E3 Harelbeke and Gent-Wevelgem.

If I could split this review in half I would as the room, location and general layout and decor were very good. The animals in the fields gave the children some nice views from the room window, two bathrooms in the one room were very good to have. The area was lovely and quiet, parking was free and ample. It was perfectly situated for the races we came to watch, and also for the WWI battlefield sites.

The one thing that let this down was the service.

No one was in reception when we arrived or when we wanted to check out. We were told that breakfast would be served from 08:00 everyday, but on the last day we went down at 08:30 to find the room still locked and we had to knock on the owner's door before we could have breakfast (15 minutes later), this could have been a problem as we were going back to the channel tunnel that morning.

Despite the negatives I would still consider staying here again

This is a farm B&B in the countryside. It is only a few km off the motorway system and easy access to Kortrijk and Ieper (Ypres). It is a straight run of an hour or so from Zeebrugge. Very easy access to Kortrijk Expo centre. The room was very clean although an easy chair would have been useful in addition to the desk and chair. Continental breakfast was adequate and a good start to the day. Owner was helpful. Parking is good too. I cannot agree with Lee P's criticisms but like most continental places it would benefit greatly from tea and coffee room facilities although it did have a fridge bar. If you might need a biscuit or snack at any stage you should be prepared and bring them with you. Would consider using again.

No Bar or restaurant open on a Friday, no toilet roll on arrival and no one there to request some.
Awful pillows, like a bag full of screwed up pieces of tin foil. Breakfast was mediocre, no tea and a poor selection of bread, cheese and meat. All for the pricey sum of €95.00 for twin bed room.
The only thing it had going for it was clean rooms, well looked after and lovely surroundings, but with no basic amenities then this is worthless. Avoid!
