Really enjoyed our time in this little cafe. Great selection of beee, amazing tasting snacks ! Will definitely be back for more :)
My husband and I stopped in for a nightcap -- or two -- and fell in love with this charming cafe. The two friendly bartenders provided excellent service. The atmosphere is so much fun, with soft lighting and red roses hung from the ceilings. We will make this our first stop the next time we are in Bruges.
There is a great deal of “hoo-ha” surrounding a particular bar in Brugge and in my opinion at least - Rose Red beats it hands down - on all counts.
It only closes Tuesday, (not two days), opens at 1100, (not 1600), and it closes half an hour later. The bar staff know their beers better than most and provide mouthwatering descriptions of their huge bottled selection - not to mention the six or seven quality, (and varied), beers on tap. No wonder it became our “go-to” place during our week in Brugge.
Oh we tried others - a lot of others - but always ended up in Rose Red and always left satisfied. In fact, now we know that there is a hotel situated through a side-door from the bar, (Hotel Cordoeanier) - guess where we will be staying next visit!

Called in here a couple of weeks ago just as we did three years ago. Both times had the 4 beer tasting platter. Really good + the barman was very friendly and informative about the platter, which to drink first, what strengths they were etc. Also had nibbles platter, again really good. Will definitely return.
