This square is just one of many in this historic city. Situated close to the Markt Square, Belfort and the canal it has a number of different styles of architecture in it. When we were there they had a stage with live music being played late into the night. The most imposing building in the square is the Stadhuis (Gothic Town Hall) dating back to the 1300s. If you like history and want to find out more about Brugge then visiting the Stadhuis will be well worth it. Across from the square are some benches under trees and when we were there there was a van with a mural of Brugge on it selling great tasting waffles. Walk through the Blinde Ezelstraat (Blind Donkey Alley) and walk down to the canal, maybe visiting the Beer wall. A very busy square and definitely worth visiting.
