Good:
Location, close to main attractions
Bathroom, big & clean
Price - £70 per night was good for area
Close to many restaurants & bars
When we stayed, there was a big fairground opposite, great for families & big kids!
Allowed us to leave our luggage after checking out (although this was just left to one side in a corridor, no secure room to lock luggage away)
Bad:
Stairs, very steep and not very tidy (there was a hoover on one level of the stairs for the 2 nights we stayed there)
Set up - have to go through the bistro / restaurant to access stairs to rooms - thought we were staying at a hotel but was more like a small B&B, sometimes felt like you were interrupting when walking through the restaurant to get to your room
Small rooms
Breakfast did not live up to expectation
No iron
Service - hosts were not rude or anything but did not go that extra mile as you would be used to in most hotels i.e. we were not asked once during our 2 night stay if everything was OK, despite the owner seeing us a few times, only asked when checking out
No assistance with luggage
Overall if you are just looking for a decent base for Bruges thats good value, then this place is great but just be aware that this is a small B&B type accommodation, not hotel like standard. If you are looking for something abit more romantic or with that extra touch, I would suggest paying a little extra and looking else where
