Great bar to go to if you enjoy a more local atmosphere and an eclectic range of "pop" music from the 60's to the 80's, mainly stocks beers from the Roman brewery but does have a reasonable guest beer list. Small and very friendly.

Hi Teresa,
Thanks for the review!
See you again soon .
Say hi to Clive !
greetings,
Tom
During a previous visit we came across this excellent local pub near our hotel. It is warm and welcoming and Tom the landlord and his staff make you feel at home straight away. They bring the drinks to your table and it is very reasonably priced. There is a large choice of beers available, so don't miss this place or you will regret it. Be aware they are closed on Thursdays and when Club Brugge place their matches at home.

Stumbled across this unique little bar unfortunately at the end of our weekend in Bruge. Very friendly and relaxing ambience . Will definitely come back here.

Volkscafe was a much needed departure from all the tourist heavy cafes and pubs in Brugge. It’s not open too late (closes around 7pm), is full of locals and the owner makes you feel right at home. The beer selection is top notch or stop in for a morning or afternoon coffee. With 60s-80s classic rock and soul playing, it’s so welcoming. The perfect stop to end our trip on.

Visited 1 and 2 December. Brilliant place for a drink. The bar staff are truly amazing and they make it a lovely place to relax and have a drink off the extensive menu. I always visit here when I am in Brugge and it gets better each time. By the way the music they play is brilliant.

Visited on Friday (23/11) and Sat (24/11) great atmosphere, eclectic choice of music and quality beers....Tom and staff were all great (even to the point of asking about 'number 4' on the Saturday morning when one of our group had gone missing for an hour!)
Thanks folks, hope to see you next time 'round.....
