This is an awful place where the owner viciously attacks and beats up customers with a baseball bat. He is verbally abusive, aggressive and violent.
If you value your safety, avoid this place.

We have known this restaurant for quite a few years now, and we always ate well. Their pizzas are oven baked and there are always nice suggestions. Nice payable wines from sardegna. The pizzacook is Sardinian himself.

We've been living now in Bruges for 2 years and trying all the local delights. We found out about this place after attending an annual foodie event where we met some Italians also living in Bruges. They of course have tried many of the local Italian type restaurants and recommended Isola Bella - just located outside the ring of Bruges, only 10 minutes walk from Langestraat. We started with the beef carpaccio which had the perfect blend of fresh tomato, arugula, parmesan, lemon zest, and olive oil. We could not get enough of the olive oil drippings remaining from the salad plate sopping it up with their home-made pizza bread. It followed with their Isola Bella and Sarda pizzas. Isola Bella is tomato based with fresh salmon and medium sized shrimp with slightly sweet heavy cream rounds placed around the pizza and nicely seasoned. Sarda is in honor of Sardinian selection of meats including proscuitto ham, anchovied salami, a special blend of mozzarella and itallan goat cheese on a tomato base. Pizza crust is not too thin or thick, just right. Worth the trek to leave the tourist area of Bruges to visit this Sardinian gem.

Our son is learning about Italy in the school, he invited us to this lovely restaurant as he pass in front of this every school day.
I personally I'm not a pizza person how ever this experience was wonderfully unexpected, the pizza dough is fresh made, the tomato sauce is fresh made with not sugar additives, after eating you don't feel blotted and the best is that during the night you are not thirsty. That prove that the tomato sauce is home made. Highly recommended. We love it and we will be back
