Fantastic bar overlooking the canal with outside seating. Plenty of choices to try some lovely Belgian beers.

We did the 3 day curse on independence of the seas with work, going from Southampton to Paris then to Bruges and I can honestly say it was fantastic! Bruges is a beautiful place with lots of historical buildings and beautiful parks and the beer tour takes you through the hart of it all. It's a good 25 minutes walk but it's well worth it and you get 4 beers to try at the end of it the cruse itself was fantastic to but I would recommend spending the £175 extra to upgrade to the drinks package as it's well worth it and they don't hold back when poring the spirits the ship its self is unreal and you can't imagine what to expect until you go on one. I'll post some pics but it really don't do it justice. 5 stars from me

On a recent visit to Brugge I had pre-booked 2 places on Brugge Beerwalk to learn about Belgium beer. Well I'm pleased I did as this is a really enjoyable way of being educated about Belgium beers & the historic city of Brugge (Bruges). I have been on a Gin Journey tour in London which is a similar format to this, very informative & a bloody good laugh. Our Beerwalk tour guide/historian/comedian was Ariel, a very knowledgeable dutchman, I enjoyed 3 hours of his company & came away with not only good knowledge of Belgium beer but also interesting facts of the historic city of Brugge. A very enjoyable walk (pub crawl) around an old city, you see buildings you'd miss seeing if these facts were not pointed out to you by Ariel. You visit bars you would not normally enter (off the tourist trap) & enjoy wonderful beers, tasting the difference between types of Belgium beers, you even get to experience the brewing process in a brewery. Be warned, pace yourself as Belgium beer is lovely & strong & the Beerwalk could turn into a Beerstagger! Very reasonably priced at 39 Euros given the beer consumed & the knowledge attained. A must if your in Brugge.

Our guide was very friendly & informative - we all thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon & would recommend this Beer Walk in Bruges.

Super interesting! Ariel knows a tremendous amount about beer and the history of Bruges. He is an unending fountain of knowledge. Both of these subjects are clearly his passion and he reads tons about it.
We did a tour with another company in Ghent and this dominated it. BeerWalks is the way to go if you're looking to get a deeper look into the Belgian beer scene and someone to make some suggestions to get you drinking the best beers in the country. There isn't enough time or sobriety to enjoy all the great beer in Belgium...at least not in a week, which is what I had.
We had such a great time. Thanks!

...but I was wrong. Ariël and Koen know more!
It was informative and a lot of fun, drinking with them.
You get to taste beer and get a new perpective about it.
There were sorts of beer, I wouldn't order. Now I would.
Also the tour confirmed and strengthened my opinion, that beer is the best liquid in the world! Cheers.
