This brand is home for us. We venture to upper level properties, or dip into serious budget lines, but we are most familiar with this chain and use our Priority Club membership for free nights.
First, the staff: The reception was universally great, and the gentleman from Nicaragua, especially helpful. The breakfast was definitely better than those offered in HI Express in the US, whether thinking about healthy food, variety, presentation, or facility. Our room was large and well lit, with a sophisticated cooling system and enough outlets for charging devices. One problem, which they surely know about, is the shower. Although it is enclosed, because the curtain does not reach to the floor inside the unit, the floor fills with water. Happily there was a housekeeping cart nearby, and we helped ourselves to an extra towel to mop up the bathroom floor. Yes, this is annoying. But overall, the many excellent features of the property make this problem minor.
We traveled into town with the Number 8 bus, even though we had a car. The car was handy in the morning when we went a very short distance to do laundry at a very good laundromat across the street from the hospital.More
