“Perfect appartment for a short stay in Liège”

We were two couples who spent two nights in the Smartflats Perron Appartment no. 301. We had enough personal space for us, altough for the access to the bathroom you need to go through one of the bedrooms. Luckily, the Toilet was in the corridor and accessible for everyone at night, so this was no problem for us. Nevertheless, the bathroom is the only thing we have to complain about. There is a bathtub without a curtain. So each time when somebody took a shower, there was a big mess in the whole bathroom . In addition to that, there was very little water pressure. So it took us very long to rinse out the shampoo off the (women's) hair. But we got used to it and if you stay for only two nights its ok.
The appartment is in the city center with many restaurants nearby. So we never used the kitchen during our short stay, but it seemed that the kitchen was fully equipped. Altough it is located in the city center, it is very quiet at night, since the bedrooms are on the backside, not towards the Marketplace. Only on rainy nights you hear the drops falling on something on the roof which causes a loud(er) noise...
Overall, I would highly recommend this appartment for Families or two couples, travelling together.

“Situation idéales mais maintenance déplorable et propreté douteuse”

Actually when we arrived after 3 pm, the cleaning was ongoing so we could not complete our installation and had to come back a little later. The dishwasher was supposed to end (since still running when we arrived) but actually it never worked in spite of several relaunch and thus we never had clean dishes. So we where not able to use the kitchen since we did not want to do by hand the dish washing of the former occupant and had no spare cuttlery and dishes.
Then the shower was leaking and I had to fix it has I could so that the bath room does not transform into a lake. The water was far away from hot since even with 100% “hot” water we could bearly have a quick shower and not much comfortable.
At last the whole flat presents signs of substandard maintenance (please see attached photos):
- carpet really dirty in the living room
- table damaged
- floor really damaged in different places and possibly leading to falls since really uneven at different places
- walls dirty in different places and even with insects smashed on it
- safe locked so we could not use it
- shower covered with fungus
- oven door dirty
- batteries in the TV remote out of order
All of this needs serious maintenance and that reduced drastically our comfort and capacity to benefit fully of the flat we rented.

We work hard, and our housekeeping team even harder, to make sure that your flat is ready on-time. Hence, sometimes, the housekeeping team experiences an overload of work due to full occupancy in our residences. It may result a small delay in the preparation of your flat. We truly apologize if this inconvenienced your stay in any ways.

I have duly noted that you reported the dishwasher was not working properly and that the shower was leaking, I also noted the missing batteries and the safe locked up. Once again, we do our best to maintain all our flats to our quality standards but technical problems can always pop up, as in any house. Conscious of that, our team is available 24/7 to provide you with assistance and to send you a technician as soon as available. After reviewing your case and exchanges with our team, I remark that you never noticed us of that issues. Without any notice from your part, you don't give us the chance to make it to you during your stay (send a technician, allocate you in another flat or any other suitable solution). We would have been more that happy to do the impossible during your stay so you could fully benefit your flat. We cannot allow any compensation in the case our guests complain way after their stay, without notifying us during their stay so we can arrange some solutions.

J’aimerais prendre cette oppportunité de répondre à vos remarques.

Concernant nos disponibilités le week-end, nous avons effectivement mis en place une politique de 2 nuits pour un séjour le week-end, c’est le cas de la plupart des établissement appart-hotel, cela nous permet de proposer des prix compétitifs tels que ceux dont vous avez bénéficié. Nous faisons parfois des exceptions pour certains clients et c’est pourquoi nous avons accepté de vous faire une réservation de 1 nuit.

J’aimerais également ajouter que pour garantir votre séjour, il est préférable de réserver à l’avance, surtout pour des dates telles que la Saint-Valentin ou toute autre type de fête.

Nous sommes effectivement présent sur Airbnb. Airbnb n’oblige aucun de ses membres à être un particulier, bon nombre de particuliers sont d’ailleurs des entreprises comme la nôtre.

Concernant les problèmes techniques auxquels vous avez fait face, j’en suis navrée et je vous présente nos plus sincères excuses. Nombres des inconvénients auxquels vous avez fait face ont été réparés lors de la rénovation de notre résidence en début de ce mois. La seule chose à laquelle nous n’avons pas touché sont les chaises, elles sont différentes mais c’était le but recherché par notre architecte d’intérieur.

L’intervention de notre technicien concernant la chaudière n’a pas pu réglé le problème effectivement, il s’agissait un problème plus important qu’habituellement. Nous étions effectivement complet ce jour-là, et je suis contente d’apprendre que nos autres clients ne vous ont pas dérangé durant votre séjour au niveau du bruit. Un relogement ne pouvait donc pas être fait. Je vais revoir votre demande de compensation avec notre équipe afin de voir si nous pouvons faire une geste commercial plus important, notre politique étant que lors d’un problème tel que celui-ci nous remboursons une partie de la nuitée.

Je vous présente nos excuses pour la mauvaise expérience que vous avez subie du aux équipements et au problème d’eau chaude, cela ne représente pas nos standards de qualité actuels (raison pour laquelle cette résidence a été récemment remise à niveau).

Je suis heureuse d’apprendre que vos précédents séjours à Smartflats vous avaient grandement satisfait. J’espère que vous garderez le souvenir de ces séjours-là, bien plus représentatifs de l’expérience que nous voulons fournir à nos clients chez Smartflats.
