We were in Jette for an exhibition and were happy to try this Peruvian restaurant. The food is really good and we also loved their pisco sour. It is true that the prices are quite high (25 Eur for the fish/seafood platter, or 15 Eur for Ceviche, 8 Eur for pisco sour), but you should consider that it is super fresh seafood, and that anywhere else in Brussels you would pay at least 15 Eur for a fish dish, probably more. The service was welcoming, but quite slow, it is only a Peruvian couple who are running the place and do all the cooking and serving. We chatted with the chef at one point, which was a very nice experience. You might not go to Jette from central Brussels just for a meal, but if you do, or if you are around, I would definitely recommend this place. Since they have opened not too long time ago, it was still quite empty on a Saturday night, but the food would definitely deserve more attention.

Nice food, but overpriced given the location, the place, and the fact that probably it is just opened and should try to attract people. Out of 4 dessert only one was available. Not sure, it may develop in a better place. Also they need to have card payment and give receipts, today is no longer acceptable that this is not possible.

We visited the restaurant on a wednesday evening and were very pleased by the welcoming service. We ordered ceviche (marinated fish) as starter, with the unmissable and traditional pisco sour cocktail. I ordered an (also traditional) lomo saltado and my partner a Chicharron de pescado. Both were delicious and the servings were generous. The house wine was decent and the dessert - a Leche asada - was just perfect.
We were offered a glass of raw pisco as a digestive, and were by then ready to reach gastronomic nirvana.
Yes, the prices are not on the cheap side. Yes, the setting is not impressive. This is a new restaurant and only with regular attendance will this restaurant be able to propose a larger offering and a better setting, and nobody ignores the fact that it's hard and expensive to keep fresh peruvian food ingredients (think about a fresh ceviche).
Another plus: the location. It's very close to the Midi train station and accessible through public transport.

Design-wise the place looks rather cheap - white and red painted walls, plastic chairs and tables, simple settings. No visual cues at this having anything to do with Peru or even South America. And it was literally empty when we dropped by for dinner on a Wednesday evening.

There’s a very kind couple running the place, barely speaking English, but very friendly and helpful nonetheless. The menu was in English as well as French, conveniently with pictures of all the dishes.

The food was OK. I had a lamb dish with rice and beans, tender, well cooked and generally tasty, although nothing that’d blow me away. This might have been because of the surroundings though, since these create expectations while expectations make the taste.
