Absolutely fabulous bar that can hardly have changed since it opened in 1928. Bar staff very friendly and the beer choice is wonderful with the white lambic on draught. Highly recommended.

Lovely bar, great staff, it was very busy inside so we sat out the front bit it was great for people watching, we will definitely return

an old crowded bar perfect for drinking with friends. It is often lots of customer and noisy but a good atmosphere. The bar has a long history and it feels like you are sent a 100 years back in time. I will always visit this bar when I am in Brussels.

It was all going really well , the service , the beer , the ambience ... until we wanted the bill , so we could leave. Asked 3 times for the bill .. a local had the same problem and got nonchalance when he questioned the waiter. He had been too busy taking pictures outside the establishment of more “ interesting customers” . On our fourth attempt we were able to pay up!!

Wanted my dad (82) to enjoy a ‘local’ Belgian haunt. Bustling crowds and nice ambiance made for a mice stop during our walkabout in Brussels. Chi may rouge and Westmalle triple were nice choices.

Our B&B host recommended this place, and it was in a good location for just wandering around. We ordered some pretty basic food (croque monsieur and madame, respectively) and they were fine, but the beers were excellent and the staff was very jolly and it was a fun evening overall.
