Great hotel. Right by the centraal train station. Bar was a bit rubbish but staff were fantastic. Room was clean and good sized. Location for the city centre, zoo, metro and trams is perfect. Maybe a kettle and tea/coffee selection in the room would be nice. Would happily stay again if we're in Antwerp. Highly recommend.

Dear guest,
Thank you very much for your review and your visit to our hotel.
We are delighted to read that you've enjoyed your weekend in our city, and we thank you for the nice compliments. We are currently offering kettles only in our duplex and junior suites, but are thinking to extend this to all of our rooms. Thank you for the suggestion.
We look forward welcoming you again.

The room was over looking the Central Station of Antwerp, which was great.

However...
I arrive midday, there was only one employee at check in desk. He was helping a prior guest with checking in and then luggage, and then he received a phone...All before I got helped.

The pictures of the room on the website made me expect a larger friendly looking room with a bathtub.
Instead I was given an oddly shaped room that was not nice to walk in. The bed was not comfortable because there was two beds aside each other and split was annoying when sleeping. The shower had a small space, enough to turn around. The water in shower also did not go down the drain immediately while showering, so there was always a puddle.
Lastly, especially in the night, I always heard when someone flushed from an upstairs room. The water would travel down the pipeline leaving gushing noise.

The hotel is well located in the city, with access to major transport services and a large variety of eateries available within walking distance. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The price includes an extensive breakfast, enough to keep you going for the day. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Booked this hotel via Superbreak as only central hotel with on-site parking. They werent joking when they said only suitable for small cars! Very average hotel. They've tried to modernise but only done half a job. Corridors very dark and cold, musty/ damp mop smell everywhere. Room was large enough but no tea/ coffee in room, no air con, no free WiFi, bathroom has seen better days, smells, mould on ceiling/ walls and NOWHERE TO PUT TOILETRIES! A real bugbear of mine. Breakfast very average, only hot choice was scrambled egg. Housekeeping consisted of making the beds (badly) replacing empty loo roll but not changing the bins or hoovering. Location right outside train station so good if travelling by train. Sure there are much nicer hotels in Antwerp. I'd recommend to spend a little more than stay here.

Just checked into this hotel. I had no choice. My friend had already checked in three days ago and we are sharing rooms. We are staying the last three days together.

I had read the bad reviews but my friend assured me that it wasn't as bad as people made it sound. She had a relatively large/nice room last year.

Well things seem to have changed this year. The receptionist told me we had been given a comfort room which is more expensive since we wanted twin beds. If this room is better then standard, I wonder what standard looks like. The room layout is terrible, the interior decor of low quality (looks cheap) and someone seems to have had a fight with the bathroom door. It has cracks and dents. The bathroom is cold and uninviting.

I also do not want a buffet breakfast but was told I had to pay for it because we are two people in the room instead of one! What kind of crap excuse is that. Later on, the lady said she wasn't sure breakfast was included. I should go down to the breakfast room tomorrow and see what they say.

On the hotel website, a single and double room costs the same and breakfast costs €9. No idea why I'm paying a lot more.

Poorly managed hotel. And to think they dare call themselves a Leonardo hotel. I was it one before and it was a lot better and more modern.

By the way, no free wifi. What hotel nowadays operates without free wifi.

Go somewhere else!

Dear guest,

First of all we would like to thank you for your visit and we apologize for the inconvenience suffered during your visit. My assistant Lorenzo informed me that the situation regarding the double payment of the breakfast has been solved and arrangements have been made if you would come again in the future.
Thank you as well for mentioning the issues in the room, we will look further into this with our technical team. And we will also use your feedback for training purposes for our reception team.
Thank you once again for your review and our apologies.
