Been eating out a lot over the past years.
This place has been around for decades.
New cook, new owner?
Same interior as decades ago.
Tables and chairs uncomfortable and old.
Waitress nice and pleasant though clearing up our used dishes took ages.
Seven tables occupied, only half on a sunday. Not a good sign.
All tables were here because of local vouchers, an even worse sign.
To fight against the image of English cuisine is hard.
Maybe thats why theres only a few Englush restaurants.
And the food, indeed, is average.
A sweet sauce to join a steak.. English?
Tomato combined with jam?
Grilled slices of ham.
If nothing happens this restaurant will run out of customers as even with a voucher offering a good deal I m not convinced.
The chef even served while the servant couldnt handle 7 tables apparantly.
Competition is hard.
