When we came to Amsterdam we hadn't really looked up anywhere to eat. We just came across this gorgeous little restaurant, perhaps a little underdressed but that didn't seem to matter. The staff were beyond friendly and the lack of menus refreshingly different. It is a dream of mine to come back here. Everything was perfect. Thank you

What a find, everything was terrific; chicken, meatloaf, steak sandwich salad, beer. Classic Dutch fare and service was spot on. What a value but no menu which actually added to the charm. Server and chef spent time with us. Please, please go here.

We were met with a smile and the very knowledgeable waitress explained the dishes that were on offer (there is no written menu). We both ordered different dishes and were really happy with the food - and the side order of home-made chips which were delicious but totally unnecessary as the portions are of a good size.

Came here on a Saturday evening; they get very busy and do not take reservations, so be prepared to wait. We waited for just over an hour. Good meal but didn't quite meet the hype of a place that popular. They were out of the chicken dish, which was very disappointing, as I gather this is a signature dish of theirs. The food was good, particularly my wife's salmon dish. My beef dish was solid but not spectacular. One minor gripe: the bacon wrapped dates appetizer came with two tiny dates. It was delicious, but I wanted more! Service was good. Overall a nice experience.

Came in and was instant treated with a friendly welcome and offered lunch, no menus the waitress simply explained it all to us and the food and drinks were great.

Fantastic place with a taste of real Dutch food and a welcoming atmosphere, don't miss a stop here during your Amsterdam trip
