Description: Five years ago we were just two young dudes from Amsterdam with the idea that we would some day open a place, combining everything we loved about the land where our parents came from…The Magical Kingdom of Morocco. With our grandmothers recipes, fresh spices from mystical Moroccan souks (markets), the best Moroccan tea and the Moroccan hospitality our mums taught us so well Restaurant MOZO was born in 2013. Restaurant MOZO is our homeage to Morocco in one of the most hip and trendy areas of Amsterdam called De Pijp. Some rules within the Moroccan kitchen are 1) always work with the freshest spices 2) don't mess to much with recipes passed along for centuries and 3) you really need to take your time...calling it a slowfood kitchen is an understatement. Our kitchen produces the most favorite Moroccan dishes. Couscous, tajines, bastilla and so much more amazing stuff! So relax and get acquainted with the diverse and rich flavors of the magnificent Moroccan kitchen.

This little Moroccan restaurant was indeed a welcomed surprise. We were lucky enough to still find a table on a saturday night, but i would recommend to reserve in advance on weekends as i saw several people swing by without having the same luck. The restaurant is van Woustraat, right at the intersection with Ceintuurbaan. It is a small restaurant on two levels, but regardless of the limited space, the decor and the friendliness of the staff contribute to a very enjoyable atmosphere.
We had marinated chicken legs with honey and sesame for starter, followed by the couscous with veal and vegetables and the Tagine Tahlia with stewed veal dates and almonds. Everything was delicious and portion were adequate. We drank traditional Moroccan mint tea. Prices were reasonable. Be aware that no alcohol is served.
I will most definitely visit again in the future!

Wonderful tangible. I had the lamb tangible and it was perfectly prepared. Very authentic with too many wonderful choices. It has made me want to learn how to do a tangible at home.

Small restaurant with a great dining hemisphere. The food was really good and authentic. Price is also good for the proportions.

Went here on a Thursday evening with my husband for a quiet dinner. Lovey atmosphere, relaxed friendly service and enticing menu.

We have the meze for two, which consisted of a cold meze platter and a warm one, with a few other bits. I have to say unless you are hungry then one course is plenty. Good portions are huge and great value for money.

Only thing I would have liked is maybe a wider drinks menu. It's non-alcoholic only (quite normal for a Moroccan restaurant) but just had limited soft drinks.

Very small but very nice ambiance. The food was delicious. We had the different kinds of mezzes and the were perfect, my favorite was the pepper filled with minced meat. After we had the traditional tagines. The flavors were amazing and the meat was so soft. And the couscous was perfect. Very nice staff and music. Wish we had more Moroccan restaurants in the States.
