Visit Huis Marseille, located on the Keizersgracht, one of the famous canals in Amsterdam in a beautiful monumental building where the museum is named after. It is the first museum to exhibit photos as a form of art in the Netherlands. It has a new Exhibition every three months and exhibits works from well known artists and it also has an own collection and a library. The museum is nowadays housed in two buildings from basement to the attic. All floors are accessible by stairs but also by elevator but be aware the museum is not wheelchair accessible.
The museum is open from Tuesday till Sunday from 11AM-18PM and you pay a fair price of approximately €8,00. Children till the age of 18 enter for free. After your visit it is possible to have a look in the shop. Don’t forget to also take a look at the garden(house) in the back of the house, which is gorgeous and dates back to the 18th century.
