“Superb house to really enjoy Amsterdam!”
Reviewed 1 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Great location. Amazing traditional canal house. All imaginable facilities included as well as coffee maker, wifi, guitar and BBC TV channels! The house is divided over 3 floors with great views over prinsengracht canal and within 5 minutes walking distance of the Anne Frank House. Only comments I would add are that the stairs are very steep (even for Amsterdam and we lived there for several years!) and secondly if you want to visit The Anne Frank House, book your tickets as soon as you confirm your dates (online tickets can be booked out 3 months in advance,). I would book this property again for my family with no hesitation.

“lovely property”
Reviewed 26 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

YES! This is a lovely property, with everything you need for your stay in Amsterdam. We were very comfortable. The hosts have done a great job with the home. Everything was clean, good condition and comfortable. They obviously care about the property. Excellent instructions and suggestions are made about the property and surrounding area. The location is fantastic. View of the canal, the Anne Frank house is a block away, the Westerkerk church is right nearby. Lovely place to start a walk through the Jordaan. Tram stops are within steps from your door and there are several excellent places to eat in the immediate area. Also possible to walk to the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh museum on a nice day. The boat cruise with the "Tourist" at the nearby Pulitzer Hotel is a must, a day bike tour with Wheely Dutch Bike tours is also highly recommended. Then come home to your lovely home for a cozy evening. A word of warning (others have mentioned this too) - the stairs. Hard to imagine how steep they are til you see it. But for those with mobility issues or small children, this is something to be aware of. It is a bummer to find you've left something on the top floor as you are about to go out or on the lowest floor when you are about to climb into bed! Other than this (which does also add to the authenticity of the experience) I wholeheartedly recommend this property.

“AWESOME!”
Reviewed 12 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

The New Holland House was delight to stay in. The location was perfect. The canal house was very charming, tidy and spacious for our family of four. The hostess Linda was very helpful, very sweet and nice. It takes a little bit of fine- footing navigating the steep stairs but then not a problem. Excellent front window for people watching. We loved it and highly recommend it. We stayed in Amsterdam one week and took several small side trips and looked forward to coming home to the house.

“Perfect City Experience”
Reviewed 1 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Rented this property for a long weekend with my family. Terrific location for everything in Amsterdam that a family would need - Anne Frank House, Museums, canals, restaurants etc. Lovely atmospheric house that makes you feel like a local in the historic "9 Streets" area. comfortable beds, spacious, well equipped kitchen, TV etc. 2 bikes come with the house that actually are really useful. Supermarket right nearby. Possibly a little pricey but that ultimately is a personal choice. The only warning is the stairs are impossibly steep - typical for Amsterdam but out of the norm for most. Would be impossible with any level of handicap and really difficult to carry bags up and down.
