Stayed at this NH and the NH city Amsterdam. This NH feels more like a business hotel, more modern and efficient.

+ service, space in the room, iron in the room.\
- bed too soft (spring), shower in bathtub and bathtub is too high to climb into (not for people with knee problem) feels rather dangerous when wet.

Will return if they have a harder bed that does not move like waterbed when two persons sleep in it.

Room Tip: Might be better to go for two single bed (sleep quality) than a double bed.

It was my third stay in the specific hotel. I keep on choosing that mainly because of the location. Still the service and hotel facilities are probably overrated for the price you have to pay, especially with regard to other hotels nearby. Two out of three times I had minor issues with the front desk services. Once because they could not find my reservation and the second time because although I wanted only to order a taxi, the lobby personnel told me I had to wait 30 minutes in the check out queue. Finally I got out of the hotel, went to the hotel around the corner and ordered a taxi from there. Be aware that the check out queue in the morning might be very long. Some rooms are quite small, but this is Amsterdam, right? Breakfast was ok. The hotel location is quite convenient. Internet service was too expensive

I was happy with my stay here. The room was super clean and a decent size, and the decor was modern, warm and inviting. There was a couch in front of the bed that was great for watching television on. The lobby was nicely decorated. The staff members were all friendly. The value for money was good (did a priceline bid, paid somewhere between 75 or 85USD, I think) but I'm not sure if that would be the case if one paid full price. My one complaint is that the internet vouchers only went for half an hour, after which you had to pick up another one from the front desk: kind of a waste of paper.

Although the room was ok and hotel is not bad, staff was unfriendly and they charge you just about everything other hotels will give you for free. So you only get free Internet at the lobby, and even if you pay for their expensive Internet to use in your room, you cannot use it for Skype (at least not for more than a few minutes), because the ammount of data you can upload is ridiculously limited. Also, you have to pay 15 euros a day to use the fitness center. Not comming back!

My last visit was in late 2007 at which time I would have said the hotel is great. This time, although the staff was still very friendly and the service was overall very good, the rooms are in need of some maintenance (the showerhead is in need of replacement - room #431) and the replacement room suggested did not seem to offer much of an improvement. Overall, still recommended, but needs to do better… Great location!!!
