My wife and I stayed at the Albus in September 2017 for four nights. It is very conveniently located on the #24 tram route so you can access Dam Square and the Central train station right outside the door. It is close to the Flower Market and an easy walk to Leidseplein and the Riks Museum. We like king beds but they can be hard to find. This one was very comfortable.Having a Nespresso machine in the room was great and you can also get free coffee in the lobby until 11am. TV was big and easy to find CNN and BBC news.
The bath room was nice but small and the shower is really small and inadequate. We really had to learn how to use it without filling up the entire bathroom floor with water. No tub.
The staff at the front desk all speak English and are very helpful with tickets, maps, transportation and restaurant recommendations.
The restaurant serves a breakfast buffet for around 20 euro/person and is open for dinner and is highly rated but very expensive. We were unable to get reservations when we checked in and never ate there but did have drinks in the lobby bar , which has a nice fireplace, one night.
We'll stay there next time we are in Amsterdam.

Room Tip: We were on the second floor in the back of the hotel

Location is excellent, staff at front desk are kind and smiling, welcome drink is kind.
Rooms are confortable but not big. There was no minibar in the room we used. Lobby is small, bathroom is OK but toiletiers could be better quality.

Room Tip: Upper floors will be less noisy but lift is rather slow.

This hotel are perfect locatet for a visit in Amsterdam. Short distance to most every thing. Breakfast was top, Service in reception was top. We had a quiet nice room. If I can give an advise to the hotel, a little better cleaning at the bathroom would maked it perfect.

We stayed 4 nites in Apt 2 on 3rd floor, one of two very upscale apartments (not regular room) overlooking one of the main N/S streets in Amsterdam. Very current and fashionably furnished main lounging room, nicely equipped kitchen, very modern bathroom, and comfortable bedroom. Not cheap, but quiet and comfortable. A companion stayed in Apt 1 below us, furnished identically. A 2 liter keg of Heineken brought quickly to the room with a call to the front desk, only 10 Euros! Great value. Uber and Taxis pick up at the front door of the hotel. 15 minute walk to Amsterdam Centraal train station. Staff A+. A great stay, no issues whatever.

Room Tip: If you can afford it pick one of the apartments, 200+ Euros.

Really enjoyed this hotel, which we just happened to come across online. Stayed in Room 411 from Sept 25-28. Greeted by very friendly and professional hotel staff, checking in was easy and came with a complementary glass of champagne, a super welcome perk after a long train ride. Hotel is at an awesome location in the center of Amsterdam, can walk to any number of restaurants, bars, attractions, shopping, movies, etc. Literally just pick a direction and start walking and you will end up somewhere amazing. Coffee and full bar available in the lobby and a great restaurant onsite. Staff was also very helpful with calling taxis for us, and even helped us book a train ticket to our next European destination. Room was modern and nicely appointed with a comfy bed, complementary Espresso machine and bottled water, free wifi, tv, and a spacious and clean bathroom. Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anybody, and it's at the top of my list to stay at again when I return to Amsterdam.
