Hotel centrally located in Amsterdam. Great ambience and amenities. Good rooms and services. Offer bike rentals. Courteous and helpful staff. Good restaurants and bars. Away from city centre, but lot of pubs around.

I was slightly disappointed with the Marriott. Had the executive room with access to the M Lounge which was good and worthwhile. Bedroom was nicely decorated although slightly small but the rest of the hotel could do with an update, especially the canopies outside that had seen better days. I am surprised it was 5 star. Very corporate and uninspiring. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Breakfasts and snacks in the M lounge excellent. Not sure I’d stay there again, maybe on rewards.

I'm a lifetime platinum member with Marriott and I am so grateful for the perks! We stayed for 5 nights using points and could not have been happier. We arrived at the hotel at 9 am and were told by the front desk staff that they could put us into a room at that time, but if we preferred to wait for a few hours they could put us into an upgraded room. We decided to wait - they indicated we could have the room by 1. Even though we had not checked in yet they stored our bags and offered us breakfast at their concierge lounge. What a breakfast - everything from smoked fish, to sausage, cheeses, eggs, pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, juices and coffees (we enjoyed the free breakfast every day of our stay! There was no need to look other places). When we got to our room we were happy to have waited for the upgrade. We were on a high floor with a lot of space. The room was quiet, comfortable and clean! The workout area was one of the nicest we had seen at any Marriott property - but we didn't use it because each day we explored so much our legs ached. Each evening in the concierge lounge they put out an excellent spread - from appetizers you could make a meal of to free beer and wine. And if you are in the know the wait staff will bring you a mixed cocktail though they don't necessarily advertise that. This is one of the best concierge lounges we've seen in a while! I think the only one better is one we frequented at the Renaissance in Mumbai. The staff at the hotel was great as well, if we needed anything (from directions, to extra towels, to recommendations) they would accommodate us, with smiles and positive attitudes. It was a pleasure. If we come back to Amsterdam would we stay here again? Absolutely! And the location is perfect - quick walks to the museums, to public transit, etc. Wonderful hotel!

The staff was the best part of our weekend stay! Special acknowledgements to Meredith, the concierge staff, Jan and Francesco and the executive lounge team. They were all so friendly, helpful and accommodating. In addition to the nicely updated rooms, the hotel was in a central location that enabled us to travel easily to all of the city’s attractions. We would highly recommend a stay here at this hotel.

We stayed here back in August and found the hotel a great place. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the hotel entrance was clean and had a great scent throughout. The main entrance ins round the side but you can also enter the restaurant side and walk through. The room seemed fairly newly refurbished and was all very clean
