We have stayed just one night, the breakfast was very good. The possibility to leave your luggage berore check-in/after check-out is helpful, if you come from the airport with train it is close to the main station, but that is probably everything positive. The rooms were not very clear. The mini hotel shampoo in the room empty (probably after last guests), the bath tube was not good cleaned up. And by the Deluxe double room for pair I do not need 15cm hole between the beds. Next time in Amsterdam another hotel.

A hotel I used to stay at regularly when I had business in Amsterdam.
Been a long while since I had visited and this was a welcome surprise.
The guy on Reception (sorry have lost his name - works 1500-2.00) was still there.
The rooms were unpretentions but clean. No wardrope in our room but a hanging space well supplied with hangers ( for a 2 night stay more than adequate).
Didn't pay for a canal view, but if this is your first time in Amsterdam might be worth considering. Depends on how much time you will spend in it.
Breakfast is supplied at Mollie Malones (Irish bar next door).
Good continental breakfast with both fresh and tinned fruit, cereals, rolls, bread (and toaster). Pently of cold metas and chesse. Hot scrambled and boiled egges. Good choice of coffees and other hot drinks..
Told the maid we didnt need the rooom making up and she left a carrier bag wih a top up of toiletries and a requested spare towel outside the room.
Shower Hot and easy to use.
All in all a good bet if you want a short break in a prime location.. As with all city hotels (Amsterdam especially ) look around for a good price. This fills up easily and prices will reflect it. Dont expect 4 star and you will be happy.

Have stayed here several times. Is clean, tidy and comfortable.Good location ,near to Central station.Although on the edge on the red light district this is not a problem. No view from room this time just overlooking a flat roof but only in the room to sleep so did not mater
Breakfast at the bar Molly Malones was tasty.Good selection of food and unlimited juice, tea, coffee, hot chocolate.
We would return again .Staff all friendly and helpfull.

I am staying at this hotel for 5 days. If I go back to Amsterdam again I will book this hotel. Why? Great location - 5 minutes to the main train station, 10 minutes to the Dam Square, 20 minutes to I am Amsterdam sing. The hotel staff is great, breakfast is great, the internet is great. The room is normally equipped. Cleanliness can be little bit better but who cares - you are in Amsterdam, enjoy!

Seems there are mixed reviews depending upon what room you get. My wife and I got an OK room and it served the purpose well. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I thought the breakfast next door at Molly Malones was an excellent cheap and cheerful offering with good range including nearly a full English breakfast.

Slight niggles were the lack of a kettle or hot drinks and the wardrobe was just a rail under an open shelf. Also the walls let in the sound, but nothing too disturbing just the odd sounds of people moving about.

On the plus side, it had a free safe that the valuables could go in.
