We have been going this place for the last two years and sadly the service and size of portions have shrunk. Last nights dinner was our last attempt to see if they had learnt from their mistakes and moved forward to actually make customers happy with both service and food.
Sadly that was not the case, if you are looking to have your Chinese spring rolls, deep fried prawns and lots of ice cream then this is your place.
If you are looking for sushi and grilled dishes then thats when there is a HUGE problem. Sushi to start with should not be 98% rice and maybe if you are lucky 2% actual fish.... although tined tuna rolls where quiet full but then again it was tined and cheap so..
The grill was poor, you can actually see how the portions have shrunk, so from ordering two portions of crispy pork we received 5 small slices, so I assume that one portion you get 2.5?
Our last visit to this place was the most shocking of it all, we waited for over one hour to get our sushi orders, and when we got to speak to the owner of the place he deliberately refused to understand what I was telling him in English, poor or lack of service is universal and it was very disappointing that he chose to behave like that.
We spent EURO 74 last night and it was our last meal there, the management need to update the menu pictures to highlight what you actually get and certainly not whats on the picture. Sushi chefs or owners need to know that its not 98% rice and very little of the fish, that is cheating your customers, because obviously if you have traveled and eated sushi then you would know what it should look like.
The good news is that there are more places like this opened in Alkmaar so we shall spend our money in places that do not reap off your customers and actually offer the service and food that is on the menu.
A tip to the owners - there is a sushi takeaway down the road, they actually know what they are doing, it might be best to pay them a visit and learn.
