We had 2 rooms , one at the back of house , one at the front , which I didn't mind , as no one really wants the room next door to your daughter and her BF !
Lovely quirky rooms , made a nice change from uniform standard hotel chains
Easy to find , great size rooms , only stayed 1 night before heading back to Amsterdam
Would stay again as our daughter now studies here

Stayed: February 2015, travelled with family

We stayed in Room 5 (Rubber Room). This is right at the top on what seems to be the loft. We stayed during the heatwave encountered. although we had a portable air-conditioner and 2 fans, the heat in the room was a constant 36c. It was unbearable.

Also the stairs are very narrow with no lift available, climbing the stairs with heavy luggage can be an ordeal.

Also what we did not like was the fact that we had two bare matresses behind a makeshift wardrobe and no chairs to sit on.

Room Tip: Make sure it is not the top floor in summer

Stayed here for two nights whilst in Maastricht and was looking forward to the stay by what I'd read about the hotel online. I got there quite late but was given directions how to pick up my key from the key box at the front of the hotel. The hotel was individual designed rooms each with a theme using recycled materials so for instance, I was in Room Concrete which was quite a masculine type room - the concrete theme was through the bare floor, concrete side tables and lamp bases. I like the design, the bed was very comfortable as were the pillows and the bedspread was great. Other rooms in my annexe at the back were tinmetal and wood. Rooms in the main part were glass, rubber, stone, metal and fabric. The breakfast was a good continental of fresh bread, croissants, cold meat, cheese, fresh orange juice and coffee. The staff are very friendly and do their best to assist in any which way they can. So why didn't this hotel get 5 stars? The hotel lacks attention to detail. The wifi in the annexe at the back was very poor indeed so it could barely be used. The bathroom in my room had a strong damp, mouldy smell - probably from a very dirty drainage area which meant water could not drain quickly or properly. The towels were thin and hardly luxurious - it would have been nice for the towels to be fluffy and of good quality like the bed linens. The blinds on the window were very dusty and obviously had not been cleaned for a long time. The attention to detail needs to be addressed as this hotel could be perfect and it's a shame it's let down by detail.

Trash Deluxe is different than the normal, often boring hotels, which are often decorated without any passion. Trash Deluxe is different, you feel at home in the rooms which have been furnished with love. The beds are good, the shower perfect, the breakfast rich and Joyce is as professional as caring about her guests! A great place.

This Beautiful boutique hotel is situated right in the center of Maastricht close to everything you can do in this nice town; Decoration is very pleasant, very good taste and everything made by old pieces of boats. The finishing & design is very professional. A pity we didn't met the lady owner but she was replaced by her father, who gaves us such a warm welcome!! Anyway we found a nice place to stay for the coming journeys! Thanks!!!

Room Tip: Easy to park your car, 5 min. from the hotel for 12 euro/ 24h!
