We booked this venue for a 2 day business event. It is a fantastic quality venue with great facilities and very high standards of accommodation.
The space is very flexible so perfect for business use. It has everything you need to accommodate around 30 delegates.
Catering facilities are great and overall the main house and adjoining cottages were just fantastic.
The service I got from Peak Venues was first class.

I would totally recommend booking.

I can only say great things about this venue. Your own pub, own beer garden, great rooms, great facilities, superb area, everything you need to entertain for a gathering.

We stayed Fri-Monday for a joint 40th birthday party and somehow managed to organise the best weather for the weekend meaning we really made use of the outside space during the day including the bbq.

Everything here that you need. We comfortably had 30 people (including children) stay for the weekend and the comments from our friends were brilliant including '...best weekend ever'.

Fish and chip shop just over the road brilliant for our Friday night and then used Maazi Indian restaurant who delivered an amazing curry for us all on the Saturday.

Really can't say enough positive things and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone wanting a get together with friends and family.

Thanks so much, we'll have memories for a very long time.

Room tip: Room 8 is slightly smaller than others but has lovely views

27 of us stayed here, using all the accommodation, the standard of all the rooms was excellent, the kitchen facilities were also of a very high standard. This is the second time we've all been away together to a 'big house' and I must say this was the best venue. It had everything. The 'pub' part is excellent for the gathering and there was plenty of singing and dancing going on!!!!! There is a fish & chip shop opposite and they accommodated our order, just give them plenty of notice. The pub was also very hospitable as was the local stores. We had a little trouble with one of the TV's but that was sorted almost immediately we couldn't ask for much more. We will definitely be coming again as a friend wants to celebrate his 50th here, it may even become a yearly thing. Fabulous. Just one pointer you must be aware that it is in a village setting and to be conscious of the neighbours with noise etc, but keep it inside and there's no problem, well we didn't have any and we surely raised the roof a couple of times with our St. Georges day celebrations.

Room tip: Be aware in some of the cottages the rooms are in a loft space so tall people may have a slight problem

Stayed here with clients, family and friends for a long weekend. Wonderful self catering house, made perfectly the fact that they have kept the original bar from when it was a pub. Lovely ensuite bathrooms. The company were so helpful, helping with our questions, recommending caterers (thank you Ruth from Peak District Fine Foods) and local attractions and especially for clearing the staff from the kitchen at the pub the run to push my brother in law's car when he was stuck in the snow!
Everyone had a great time, would definitely return
