Arrived at the hill top in the morning so i managed to beat the crowd and enjoy the cooling and quiet view of the Zurich city.

It is November so everything is cold / drizzling and without the green but the worth the trip.

Thank Huilong

Lindenhof has an old story, about several hundreds years ago. Knights of Habsburg wanted to take over Zurich, because they heard, that zurich men been away for a fight in middle of Switzerland. So all the women put armament on and all stand together at the Lindenhof. The Habsburg saw all the armament shine in the sun and they thought the Zurich men been already back from their fight. So they turned around and went back. That's the story how the female empowerment started.
But also you'll have a great view to the river Limmat, the church Grossmünster, the old town of Zurich and many more. It's just a few steps from the famous Bahnhofstrasse and Rennweg. And sometimes you can watch up their some guys playing chess.

Lindenhof seems even as a ruin to be a bulwark fortress giving a great view on the ETH the Swiss Polytechnical University and the University of City nd Canton of Zürich, Avid chess players congregate in a secluded area of Lindenhof, on many a Sunday, nowadays not so frequent because of his old age a former Russian world champion comes here to measure his still great ability with the chess aficionados of Zürich. The Location is a part of Zurich secret tour with a special key from the Bauamt which opens doors to archeological sites, here to a roman artifact underground.
