Nice location. Right in front of lake Geneva and close to casino center. Lots of super stories and grocery outlets near by. Yeah one has to walk 700 'meters from the nearest metro which is montreux gere. The walk is ascending so better take tram 201 from metro. Macdonald and subway near by. We had a connecting room which was big. Hotel is classic with wooden floors. It's a good 3 star hotel - reception is on first floor look at the pictures below. Reception is always welcoming and helping

We arrived at this hotel via the TIC in Montreux so hadn't read any of the adverse reviews and didn't have any preconceived ideas. We arrived late morning and the reception staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful. We were able to access the room immediately which we hadn't expected. The hotel is in an old building and is currently undergoing a phased renovation programme. Our room was spacious, clean and had a balcony. It was situated to the rear of the building and was quiet. Hotel in good location for promenade and station. We ate our evening meal in the refurbished brasserie which was very good, and good service. Breakfast not included in price. Must comment on the very crisp and new bedlinen, and the bed was comfy. Would stay here again if in Montreaux (but would probably ask for the same room again which suited us!)

Room tip: This is in a central location with traffic noise

The hotel is very old and must have been beautiful in its day, it is apparently in the progress of extensive renovations, would consider staying there again once the renovations have been completed. The room was very large however, timber slopped and was noisy to walk on, bathroom was in need of a serious makeover, as was the rest of the room. Breakfast was good and serviced in what may have once been the ballroom.

Room tip: wait until the hotel has completed its renovations

A very outdated hotel. The room was a tad shabby, with a portable air conditioning unit jammed into the corner, blocking the door. It also had a large outlet pipe going through the window. The bathroom consisted of a toilet and a shower. It was tiled in brown 70's style kitchen tiles with a light switch near the shower!!! The basin was behind a partition in the room.
Not a bad location, but check other hotels in the area first.

This hotel does not have a good working website that mentions the amenities present in the rooms as a result of which, we struggled to know the specifics till we got to the place.
Nevertheless, after reading the reviews here we were pretty well prepared for disappointment. Since we didn't have any hopes, our stay was rather pleasant.

The rooms are very spacious, beds comfortable but they definitely do not live up to the prices that are paid per night. The bathrooms have very old fittings which is quite a big turnoff. Apart from that the hotel rooms are decent. Breakfast spread is limited. All that said, the location is a huge plus. It is very close to Lake Geneva, Montreux casino and Montreux Gare(railway station).

The hotel staff was not that helpful. When we asked for directions and help in planning our day- there wasn't any cooperation, which, in my opinion for a traveller in a new city is a huge negative. Moreover, some staff member had the indecency to ask my father as to when we were leaving the hotel. Of the four places that we lived in, in Switzerland, this was the least impressive.

If there are other options please go for them.
