A very outdated hotel. The room was a tad shabby, with a portable air conditioning unit jammed into the corner, blocking the door. It also had a large outlet pipe going through the window. The bathroom consisted of a toilet and a shower. It was tiled in brown 70's style kitchen tiles with a light switch near the shower!!! The basin was behind a partition in the room.
Not a bad location, but check other hotels in the area first.

This hotel does not have a good working website that mentions the amenities present in the rooms as a result of which, we struggled to know the specifics till we got to the place.
Nevertheless, after reading the reviews here we were pretty well prepared for disappointment. Since we didn't have any hopes, our stay was rather pleasant.

The rooms are very spacious, beds comfortable but they definitely do not live up to the prices that are paid per night. The bathrooms have very old fittings which is quite a big turnoff. Apart from that the hotel rooms are decent. Breakfast spread is limited. All that said, the location is a huge plus. It is very close to Lake Geneva, Montreux casino and Montreux Gare(railway station).

The hotel staff was not that helpful. When we asked for directions and help in planning our day- there wasn't any cooperation, which, in my opinion for a traveller in a new city is a huge negative. Moreover, some staff member had the indecency to ask my father as to when we were leaving the hotel. Of the four places that we lived in, in Switzerland, this was the least impressive.

If there are other options please go for them.

Montreux is a traditional resort town on Lake Geneva.
Nestled between steep hills and the lakeside, it's known for its mild microclimate and the Montreux Jazz Festival, held in July.
The town's promenade is lined with flowers, sculptures, Mediterranean trees and grand Belle Époque buildings.
This hotel is an old construction with no modern facilities.
It’s 15 minutes of walking from railway station
Service is average.

10 minutes walk from railway .station to this hotel and easily located, opposite a famous casino. Old property and renovation is going on. To reach the reception, either one has to climb a good number of red carpet covered steps or take a mini lift. The reception person gave us room very quickly and we took the century old lift to reach our 3rd floor room. We had request for a fan as the room was stuffy and very warm Room size was small with hardly any place to keep our two suitcases. Bath room was ok with old fittings. The breakfast had very limited choice and if one is late, you may not get all items. First day they had kept banana and next day it was not there.
They have a restaurant by name La Brasseie, which was ok for food.
The plus point is , this place is very close to the lake and shillon castle. and there are nice eating places on lake side.

Having arrived to Montreux from Interlaken, we checked into this hotel with high hopes, however on closer inspection I didnt find it to be so great. The room itself was musty and had rather old decor in the bathroom and main space. The breakfast supplied on half board was a basic breads and cereal spread, however it wasn’t refilled throughout the 3hr period so If you wanted the good stuff it meant being up at the crack of dawn and if you got there later say 9ish you may have missed breakfast! The location was good and was close to all the attractions and had bus stop outside. We had dinner in the restaurant downstairs, not a huge selection to choose from, although this could have been our taste!

Overall wasn’t a bad hotel for 3 nights but wouldn’t have wanted to stay any longer, the whole place creaked when you walked down the stairs!
