The sense of space, light and closeness to nature that the Loft provides is unparalleled: there are no barriers between the nature outside and the home space inside - all is fluid and free. On the two sides overlooking the village, the walls consist of floor to ceiling glass, with French windows 6 metres high leading to a large terrace. (There is a white electric exterior curtain that can wrap itself around all that glass if need be). The ceiling is supported by seven columns, while the glass walls have an inset fireplace and three alcoves. Shared laundry room with washing machine and clothes dryer available. If rented with the Heinz Julen Penthouse, the two HJ properties, located in the same building, can sleep 14 guests. The Heinz Julen Loft can be rented with or without Chalet staff. Included in our prices the Mountain Exposure concierge services: - ARRIVAL: meeting you on arrival for your chalet holiday - TRANSFERS: arranging airport pick ups by taxi, minibus or helicopter and advising on other travel arrangements - RESORT CARE: daily chalet visits (unless you specify otherwise) to provide advice and useful tips, and a duty manager available at all times during your holiday - SKI RENTAL: assisting you in obtaining ski rental - LIFT PASSES: having your lift passes ready for you in advance - SKI SCHOOLS/GUIDES: advance booking of ski schools and mountain guides - RESTAURANTS: arranging all your mountain restaurant bookings (these can be essential) - CHILD CARE: making all necessary arrangements to provide you with quality child care (nannies, babysitters, crèche services) AND MUCH MORE: We aim to offer a service tailored to all your wishes and would be glad to assist with any matter relating to your holiday.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.

Dream views, space and location
Our stay at the Heinz Julen Loft Zermatt was fabulous. The place is spacious, comfortable and extremely cool. It is centrally located and yet secluded from the busy main streets. It had everything we needed and more. We spent 3 nights but we wish we could have stayed longer. We give this chalet a 10/10 The views are absolutely stunning!

Amazing unique house to enjoy for large group
Heinz Julen Loft in Zermatt was a unique and amazing place to stay! A glass home with large windows and everywhere we looked there were amazing views of the mountains and Zermatt itself. An amazing location right off of main street (with a small hill trek up - it's worth it as the views at every turn are even better than the last!) Very spacious and perfect for a large groups like ours. The beds, kitchen, all amenities were comfy and clean. Our concierge Stefan was just outstanding - he was available for all our questions, recommendations and helped us feel right at home right till we checked out. Highly highly recommend - this place was a highlight for everyone in our group!

a New Years to remember
t took 3 years to plan a trip for our 3 generation family of 16! we were looking for a quaint village in the Alps, a perfect place where we could enjoy snow, skiing, good restaurants and family gathering time and space. (Hotel rooms would not be suitable for family get togethers. ) We finally found it: the Heinz Julen Loft and Penthouse. the views were spectacular, everyone had a place to sleep, and even provided a crib and stroller for our 2 year old! Every room had an exquisite view. and every bedroom had an en-suite bathroom. (not easily found anywhere in Europe.) though we were in the mountains, looking down on the quaint village of Zermatt, we had easy access by elevator, which put us right out in the center of town! most importantly was the service provided not only while there, but also prior to our arrival, as we were each arriving at different times, from various airports. Their concierge services were fantastic, with many needed recommendations. once we arrived, we were welcomed by our FABULOUS concierge, BRONAUGH, who PERSONALLY met us at the train station (numerous times), organized our taxi and luggage to our house, arranged ski rentals and lessons, along with which slopes for the various types of skiing, restaurant reservations. you name it, and she was right there available for any and all questions/ problems. we had her personal phone number and could text or call her at any time. I have traveled extensively for over 65 years, but I have never experienced any service comparable to what we received there. . If I must add any cons at all it would be that the bedrooms were small, but as Bronaugh explained, the architect said he wanted to concentrate on the living spaces, which were huge. Also, it would have been nice to have an elevator to connect the 2 houses, which were stacked one on top of one another. but we managed just fine. we had mentioned that the key box to the penthouse was very difficult to open, and a new and easy to open box appeared that very day! i cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. As one of our grandchildren said, “I’m living my best life right here”

Amazing loft in the mountains
Our stay was short, but wonderful. The accommodations and hospitality were top-notch, and the central location in Zerrmat is perfect. This is a truly magical place, and even more impressive in reality than the pictures. We hope to be back and stay there again.

Wonderful apartment in a great location!
Our family of 5 adults loved this amazing modern Swiss style chalet located within walking distance from the heart of town, surrounded by beautiful mountain views and scenic nature. The spacious loft style apartment with very high ceilings and windows for added daylight has each bedroom located on a separate level for excellent privacy. Each bedroom is spacious with comfortable beds and bedding. There is an indoor hot tub in the main area loft which was lovely at the end of each day’s outdoor adventures. We all enjoyed using the outside terrace and grassy area with lounge chairs for our top of Zermatt mountain feeling. The short walk uphill back from town is easy with the use of the elevators in the apartments below. For a memorable and very comfortable stay, we highly recommended staying here.

The loft is truly spectacular and one of a kind. Gorgeous glass Mountain Views and separate space upstairs for master bath and spa. Downstairs two nice bedrooms. Gorgeous high ceilings and modern flavor. You’ll never stay in a more unique spot in zermatt. Worth the splurge

Fantastic base for a long weekend
The loft is located 5 minutes off the main street with a lift to get you past the majority of the steep walking, with just a short stretch before the loft itself. We went as a group of 4 for a long weekend as a surprise for a friends birthday looking for something with a "wow" factor, and definitely found it. The views from almost every part of the loft were incredible, especially for me as an early riser and getting to watch the dawn break over the mountains with the light spilling into the valley below. We had everything we needed for a long weekend and the bedrooms were very comfy. While some "hotel" slippers were provided, you may feel more comfortable bringing some of your own if thats your thing as the floor is concrete in all the main areas. Hugh, our concierge for the weekend, was fantastic. He helped us with everything from pickup/drop off to telling us where to get the best pizza and was always a quick call away when we needed him. All in all, the place ticked everything we were looking for. The place has a definite wow factor and is the perfect place to make some great memories.

Fantastic apartment steps from Zermatt center
The location and views of Zermatt are amazing. The living room is huge with a suspended fireplace and lots of area to relax. The bedrooms are comfortable with attached baths. The local managemet firm, Mountain Exposure was professonal and incredibly helpful during our stay.
