This place is excellently located near the lake, casino, park, and city center. We enjoyed Greg at service and we got the tasting menu as recommended by the chef. Word of warning though is that they don't really ask about your preferences or allergies when you order the tasting menu: they just serve what they feel like serving. We had excellent wine selection thanks to the help of the waiters. We also are grateful for the complimentary scallop aperitif with coconut milk which the chef gave us. It is expectedly pricey given all considerations but not a bad choice for a decent meal when in the area.

It is not often that one chances on a restaurant that can truly delight, serving food that mixes tradition and innovation. La Fattoria is such a place. Dishes such as deconstructed raclette, a melon "salad" served as a cold soup, pasta with raw cuttlefish, and an "egg" for dessert could easily come off as pretentious and unsatisfying. Here, it is served with a flourish and enough substance to please even big eaters. Not to mention - every bite was delicious! The highlight might have been the bread with homemade butter. The service was delightful and the view from the rooftop patio was stunning. Recommended if you want Italian/Swiss food that breaks the mold of the typical lakeside trattoria. Next time I am having the tasting menu... my wife and I were quite jealous of the table next to us enjoying that experience!

Excellent restaurant, great service and a delicate menu with non standard options.everything is cooked well and served very well. The attention to the customer is welcome while the food is delicate. Well located in downtown Lugano.
Ottimo !

We made a reservation and had a wonderful dinner here.
Food: An amazing combination of local cuisine presented in a modern fashion. The chef works towards being local, he grows his own herbs and vegetables and sources products locally. We love this feature about any restaurant. We got an appetizer, a salad that came as a soup and was wonderful, and main courses. Each dish was beautiful in its presentation, immaculate in to preparation and had wonderful flavors. The stand out dish of the evening was the black pasta with raw cuttlefish. The dishes were on the smaller side, but this is not a problem for us. We loved the food here. The waiter helped us pair our dinner with wine, it was a nice touch.
Ambiance: We booked early and go a prime location on the upper outdoor patio. The view is fabulous and sitting outside on a hot summer evening was pleasant. The restaurant is well adorned feel like you have stepped into an elegant establishment.
Service: Our waiter was good and helpful. He was attentive and always available to help. He was particularly nice to my daughter, always getting her a goodie or making sure she like everything.
We loved our dining experience here and would highly recommend this restaurant.

After the initial excitement about the great view and table, our mood dropped very quickly with the rudness of the staff. Then it hit to the bottom when it took 1h to get started and another hour for the 8 raviolis. They might treat you with more respect if you are 50 and wearing a rolex.
The food was okay but nothing special.
