We spent two nights in a wonderful room at Bernerhof and enjoyed a lot. Not only is there a attentive, friendly and informed service but the amenities are exciting, the fitout is nice and you feel welcome. This is a top quality but affordable place.

When we checked in at first the staff was very welcoming and guest friendly! They explained everything well and made us feel welcomed, after a long train journey to gstaad! the room we got was fantastic and cosy! In addition, the view outside was lively and beautiful! the hotel was also central to the busy shopping promenade and a few seconds walk away from the train station, Asking for basic resources like English breakfast tea, adapters etc.. was not a problem at all, instead they cheerfully did the job and had a positive attitude! the Chinese restaurant in the hotel was also amazing all the dishes served were relished and enjoyed!
At the last day of our checkout the staff offered a kind gesture for the bell boy to take our luggage till the train station, in addition we were given refreshing homemade iced tea for our long journey ahead! Would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone for the great hospitality and friendliness!
Also would like to thank the front office staff Patricia for great care and warmth!
Keep it Up!!

Stopped here for lunch on our Grand Tour of Switzerland. We chose the half cheese raclette and half meat cooked above it. It came with potatoes and the meat was steak, chicken, bacon, sausage and the raclette was delicious. Good local wine

This was a 5 star experience all the way! The service, the food, the room, and the location. We had no complaints from our visit.

The train station lets you off right in front of the hotel which is both charming and convenient. We were greeted by Fabiola who immediately offered us congratulations (it’s our honeymoon). She took us up to our room, The Alpine Loft. We cannot recommend this room enough! The website made it sound like it’s small but it felt very roomy for the two of us. The view is unparalled – you see gorgeous mountains, hills, the beautiful sky, bits of the town, and the train station. The bed was so comfortable and had perfect pillows and fluffy duvets. There are two bathrooms: one with a giant shower, bathtub, and sink. The other with just a toilet and sink.
There is a fireplace, television, and two comfortable chairs for sitting. There is also a hair dryer, a shoe horn (!), and a mini fridge with a few waters, juice, and plenty of tea with accoutrement.

We swam in the pool both days we were there, and enjoyed the steam room, foot baths, and cold plunge. There is also a sauna and showers. These accommodations were immaculate.

We only ate the continental breakfast in the restaurant. This is a must-add to your reservation. There were 4 local cheeses, meats, breads, mueslix and cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, and then eggs made to order. The service was impeccable. They also have food for you to take for the day: carefully wrapped pieces of cheese, ham, salami, bread, carrots, tomatoes, and bottled water.

The town is adorable and the hotel is basically at one end of the town. It is right near a fancy and expensive food shop, but also very close to the CoOp grocery which was plentiful.

Fabiola and Dani at the desk, and the wonderful gentleman at breakfast really made our experience perfect. We can’t wait to come back!

Room tip: The Alpine Loft is worth it!

This hotel is located just by the train station and yet I was not bothered by the expected noise at all.
The reception is friendly, the breakfast varied and generous, the rooms adequate also a tea- / coffee maker would be a big plus.
The most disappointing though is house keeping: the rooms are simply barely cleaned, the toiletries etc are not provided except on the first day ... this makes one doubt about the fairness of four stars.
