My dinner place yesterday. We were welcomed very nicely and felt welcome from the very first minute. Had the Black Angus, which was cooked to perfection. Service really nice. I shall be back.

At dinner tonight with 4 of us. 3 meals and 1 soup filled us all up. The specialty is puff pastry, but the meatloaf may be better. Don't forget the cheese pie! Family friendly with good service.

You can't ask for much more than good food, good service, decent prices, and an ambience of cozy comfort. The Rebstock offers all of these and more. Being autumn, a special menu for the season was offered. One of us had the spaetzle with toasted chestnuts, figs, and veggies--delicious--and the other of us had the Lake Lucerne fish soup with both perch and trout from those waters in a wonderful flavorsome broth with veggies and a side of garlic bread.

Nothing is inexpensive in Switzerland, but the menu items we ordered were very reasonable by Swiss standards. A Swiss rose complemented the fish soup, and the accompanying complimentary bread was hardy and healthy. No dessert for us, but they had several choices, all of which seemed to be house-made.

The ambiance was intimate, friendly, and full of ordinary folks who looked like they had stopped by after shopping or work for a simple meal. The service was friendly, attentive, and the food was hot and tasty--all important to us!

We were in Lucerne for a pre trip extension with Viking River Cruises and this restaurant was one that the guide recommended. We enjoyed it very much! It seemed to have locals as well as tourists and our waiter was very fun and helpful. The food was delicious, though because I am not Swiss, I can't say if it was authentic.

In easy walking distance from Hotel Schweizerhof where I stayed, this restaurants has many seating options: outside cafe type, pub like back room and more formal dining room. the menu has traditional Swiss food very well prepared featuring local meats and produce as well as beer and wine from the area. I had great tasting sausage.
