I have lived in the U.S. for the last few years and was seriously craving some big, juicy burgers. Didn’t expect much from burger places in Switzerland, but this place exceeded my expectations! I love the Italian burger - the patty is juicy and very well-seasoned, with melty mozzarella and Parmesan cheese, pesto, and Parma ham. It’s a delicious umami explosion in your mouth. The portion is also quite huge - I could barely finish one.

Tasty burgers and fries - both were very filling and relatively cost effective! Hot cheese fries are a must.

While the setting is nice, Jeff‘s burgers are very mediocre - I was definitely expecting more. Especially the meat was simply a cheap, overcooked patty - a real bummer. As a tip, try ordering it medium rare, might be better then...

Great tasting, good sized burgers at a reasonable price by Lucerne standards. We had two of the Cheese burgers on brown bread and shared a serve of Hot Cheese Fries between two people. This was more than enough food! We are self-confessed burger lovers and these were pretty good burgers. They also provided great, fast service. Would certainly recommend!

Knowing we had a long day on a tour to Jungfrau we reserved a day ahead at Jeff’s knowing it was close and we would be hungry and not want to wait around.

Sometimes a plan comes together. Our reserved window table was waiting for us as we watched 2 gents get turned away due to a lack of reservations. Note to locals and tourists alike - restaurants are small and popular ones that serve relatively reasonably priced food fill up fast.

Our server Michelle stopped by very shortly after were seated to get things going. And now - a note about Michelle. She was the only server for the entire restaurant, yet she never made us feel rushed, she never seemed frazzled and the floor was working flawless. We found Michelle to be one of THE warmest and most engaging servers we have ever encountered. Whatever “it” is - she has it.

Our burgers arrived just a few minutes after ordering - literally piping hot. Look - do not expect an American style or tasting burger over here - ain’t gonna happen (unless you eat at a Hard Rock Cafe). The meat is dense with little marbling. But that’s ok. And do not expect anything other than well done meat. The concept of a medium rare or “Pittsburgh” burger over here is foreign (no pun intended) to them. But that’s ok. The burgers are tasty in their own right and very large and by Swiss standards Jeff’s are also reasonably priced - a massive double burger was $22.50 Ch.

The fries are fine and God Bless them for carrying Heinz ketchup - the only real ketchup. The dark bread multi grain buns are really very tasty and toasted ta
boot.

Without Michelle - we may rate this 3.5 place a 3. With Michelle - 3.5 jumps up easily to a 4. Set your expectations accordingly. Make a reservation. Go. Enjoy. You won’t regret it. Unless Michelle ain’t there - then all bets are off
