I am not a fan of watches but yet enjoyed this fine museum. Luxury watches with jewelries is what every woman enjoys :))

The museum details the history of this famous Swiss watch maker and features numerous examples of watches and other ornaments made by the company.

We tried for the second visit to Geneva to visit this museum of PF. Two challenges- it doesn’t open till 2pm and guided tour in English is only available on Saturday. Unless of course you email them 2 days ahead to book a private tour which costs you 220CHF. The unguided tour is only 20CHF but with very little explanation.
There is a dazzling array of watches and time pieces to be sure and some of the early models in 18th century are really exquisite with the artwork as much as the clockworks. Of course there was no way to tell how the timepieces work Eg the Chimes and gongs if we didn’t have any access to video or audio material that could give us a flavour of the sounds and working mechanisms. Best part? The Chinese timepieces from Qing dynasty when most were made in pairs and aside from Chinese motifs on some they told a time when fascination by the Imperial court had meant a good stream of commissioned pieces made during this period.

Amazing exhibits. Simply exquisite. Too bad photography isn't allowed but that's completely understandable. A must see even if you are not a watch collector.
