This is a surprisingly good hotel. Don’t get me wrong, the rooms are simple and the whole building is pretty dated. But it’s all at a decent price and it’s clean. The beds are comfortable and everything works. Our room had a balcony which lead in to a small courtyard - a very small, dilapidated courtyard - but still; there’s a certain Etruscan charm to it and it’s lovely to sleep with the door open on a summer evening .
The location is great too. Whilst not directly in the historic centre, it’s a 5 minute walk away - albeit up a large hill. There’s plenty of nice bars and restaurants very close by.
Staff are all very friendly and happy to help.
I think there are better hotels in Perugia, but this one is definitely a decent option for the traveller on a budget.More
