The Santa Chiara scores on three vital points- the facilities are spotlessly clean with no frills but plenty of comfort, the staff and owner could not be nicer or more helpful and top of the list the location is simply the best.
Good safe parking on the edge of town then just a 5 minute stroll into the ancient medieval city to enjoy all the gorgeous attractions San Gimi has to offer. Plus excellent food at breakfast or lunch, a fantastic view, peaceful silence and a lovely pool.
We stayed one night then booked for two more the next week, it was great. Thank you.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a countryside view with balcony, top value, room might be small but it is all about the view.

I stayed here for one night. While the view is beautiful and the city is on walking distance from the hotel, the rooms here are just too small - very claustrophobic. If you do stay here, make sure that you book a room with a view and a balcony.

This was a great location, there's parking, breakfast and lunch available, with a bar. There is a terrace area that overlooks the pool and the landscape. Inside there is comfortable seating available and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The village is only a 10 minute walk away. The only issue I had was the room, there was only 2 very small windows and they were close to the ceiling which gave the room a 'closed' in feeling and the bed. It was so hard and uncomfortable that I almost got up in the night to sleep on the couch.

Room Tip: Don't stay in room 13, only 2 small windows up high and the bed was one of the hardest beds I've ever slept on.

Once again we enjoyed our stay. Although the rooms are on the small side the views from the balcony more than make up for this. Within easy walking distance of the beautiful hill town of San Gimignano with many excellent restaurants, and a good base for touring Tuscany.

Room Tip: Rooms with garden view are worth the extra cost

This is a fabulous family owned hotel within walking distance of the town. Very clean and comfortable. Great views from your balcony and an ideal location to tour Tuscany by car using this as a base. Limited parking. Lovely pool and terrace.

Room Tip: Take a room overlooking the pool as it also gives you a beautiful view of the countryside.
