We spent 5 nights here and the hotel is beautiful. The grounds and public areas are pristine. The bedrooms are exceptionally clean, the bathrooms are a good size, with hair dryer and luxary toiletries provided. The rooms are cool, have nice views and quiet air conditioning is always a plus. The staff were extremely accommodating, nothing was too much trouble, from booking taxis,s to recommending excellent restaurants. The pool area was very relaxing with bar service, so cold drinks available. The gardens were well maintained and all in all the building, gardens and the beautiful scenery made for a fantastic stay.
The hotel breakfast was just ok, good coffee, fresh fruit and lots of cake! A toaster would have been nice and a hot breakfast cooked to order would have been more in keeping with such a high class hotel. The lunch menu was small and did not change for the 5 days we were there, again the food was just ok, nothing special and because of this we did not dine in the beautiful restaurant although that was in our plans. The food was disappointing but did not spoil our stay, we loved our hotel experience.

We spent three nights in this hotel and really enjoyed our stay. The building and the gardens are so beautiful. The view is unbelievable. We stayed in the annex 24, the room is big and with some characters, the bathroom is spotless. It's very quiet day and night. The swimming pool is lovely and reasonable quiet. Staff are friendly and always happy to help. Breakfast is very good. Plenty of choices. The pine nuts cake is delicious!!! And all the other cakes as well !The location is great, away from the busy town but not far. We walked to town everyday and it took about 15 to 20 minutes and it was a nice and relaxed walk. We didn't tried the food at the hotel restaurant. But the view must be superb when you have your dinner on the terrace. We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed for seven nights. Upstairs room, great views of San Gimignano two kilometres away. Attentive service, great pool area and set in lovely gardens. We dined in one night and found the food very good but not spectacular. However the service, staff and breakfasts were sublime. Not cheap as the total bill exceeded €1500 but worth the money.

Convenient location, well maintained property, nice rooms, traditional tuscan ambience, helpful staff - these are just few top features of the hotel. We had the room in the historic villa building with the balcony overlooking the Italian parter garden. We could not imagine better wake up in the morning with balcony curtain flattering in the morning breeze.
