Stepping into this shop and seeing the work being done in front of your eyes is nothing short of amazing. In our walk to visit Piazza Anfiteatro in Lucca we ran across this small shop. Form the outside it does not look like much, but inside weaving and magic happen. We ended up talking to the workers there for about 10 or 15 minutes and they assisted my wife in purchasing a scarf. Not a whole lot of English here, but a little Italiano goes a long way!

Wonderful experience with hand woven scarves in cotton, wool and cashmere. Enjoy unique and beautiful goods while supporting cooperative for mental health benefit. You won't be sorry you stopped! Our purchases varied form 7 Euro sale runner to 40 Euro scarf. Enjoy!

I visited La Tela di Penelope and saw the human and fabric results of an innovative art therapy program. The textiles are lovely, and the creative energies a pleasure to see.
