We stayed here for one night whilst visiting the beautiful city of Lucca, the hotel in very good, the staff are extremely helpful and the location couldn't be much better if you want to walk round this lovely city.

Breakfast was very very good and the best we had during our week in Italy, the only downside was the smell in the corridor outside our room (Gardenia) which may have been down to some drainage issues, however this did not detract from a very pleasant stay.

The hotel rooms are beautiful! Very comfortable and quiet. The location is excellent. Very near the main shopping, square, and easy access to the walk on the wall which surrounds the city.
Breakfast is very good with a wide variety of things to choose from.
We had a little difficulty finding it as it is tucked in on a quiet narrow street.

We booked two rooms for 3 nights, for our family of 2 adults and 3 teenage/ adult daughters. The extra bed in the girls' room was accommodated without fuss, as was our taxi from Pisa airport, both arranged very easily in advance by email.

The rooms are beautiful, the staff helpful, everything works, the air conditioning, bath and shower are lovely, the breakfast array is vast, varied and of excellent quality. You can squeeze your own orange juice, make your own fruit and vegetable juice, boil your own eggs just the way you like them. Every wish is catered for by smiling, cheerful staff. The whole feeling of the hotel is of unforced and unassuming luxury.

We discovered during a visit to a restaurant in Lucca that our waitress stayed here on the night before her wedding several years ago, and she still remembers the fantastic shower!

Probably the only downside is that the hotel itself is quite noisy - other guests making their way down the corridor to their rooms seem to be almost amplified into the rooms - so if you like to sleep in a silent room early in the evening you might not like this! But Lucca really comes alive around 7pm and the evenings are the best time so you shouldn't be tucked up in bed early anyway!

Also we discovered to our chagrin only as we were leaving that the hotel has a little bar area over to the side - if we'd noticed this we would have loved to sit in there as a family enjoying card games and drinks!

We stayed two nights in this charming hotel. The rooms were lovely, air conditioned with lovely murals on the walls. Our room also had a jacuzzi bath.
Breakfast was really good, with a selection of meats and cheeses, cereals, cake as well as breads. There was a juicer and an orange juicer available for guests' use.
Reception staff were helpful, booking restaurant tables for us and showing us where to get to the mains sights of the town.
My only issue was that there was a lot of noise from the kitchen of the restaurant nearby, so much that my husband got out of bed to complain to reception. In fairness, in a small town with narrow streets I guess that many hotels have a noise problem, but if there had been better sound proofing the hotel would have got top marks from me. The noise (which is not something they have control over) is the only thing which let it down. Less abled bodied people might find the lack of a lift annoying too.

Room tip: a room at the front might be less noisy

On a quiet street. All rooms are flower themed. Ours (Rosa) has a trompe l'oeil bower with roses, jasmine (we think), swallows and dragon flies, painted on a curved ceiling. Breakfasts were great (the honeycomb was fascinating) although the orange-juicing machine was rubbish. Highly recommended but Wifi was poor.
